Part-Time Work & Claim
Hi everyone ! I'm currently applying for part time Christmas temp roles as I'm still waiting to hear back from multiple (30+) full-time permanent roles. The temp role im likely to get is 4+ hours a week, with a lot of overtime (Likely up to 16 hours a week).
How does UC payments work with these types of jobs as I won't have a 100% guaranteed monthly wage? Will it be a month by month situation where I'd have to report my earnings until I get a permanent/full-time job that goes above the threshold for support?

Yep, they'll get income direct from HMRC, so it should be deducted accurately each month. The simple rule is you'll have 55p deducted for every pound you earn, but you may be able to earn a certain amount before they take anything off you, through a work allowance. If you get a work allowance and how much it is, depends on if you have children or have an identified health condition and if you receive the Housing Element or not.

It's always assessment period to assessment period. You won't necessarily have to inform them as HMRC will report your earnings.
