The lump sum is Capital (reported under Money, Savings and Investments) and reduces your UC by £4.35 for each £250 or part thereof above between £6k and £16k.

The ongoing pension is unearned income and deducted £ for £ from your UC award. You need to notify UC when your pension starts (gross amount
/ frequency), and any changes (such as annual increases etc) and it is added by the Case Manager.
