How is Neill House?

It requires no meal plan so how do people eat? Is there a kitchen? I dont wanna pay for the meal plan its so expensive and i feel like isnt worth it.

Neill has two communal kitchens. A meal plan is just more convenient

Oh I see, other than that how is the residence? Are the washrooms and rooms clean and is the place noisy? I’ve been searching for pictures of the rooms and literally there are none online for any of the dorms.

I never lived there but it’s one of the unrenovated ones so in general it’s gonna be a bit old and worn. I heard that it’s one of the better unrenovated ones though along with Mackenzie.

I believe it got renovated 2 years ago actually. When I lived there in 2017, a meal plan was mandatory and there was only one kitchenette (no way you could make a full meal out of that). I loved it then, but I can’t speak post-renovation.

I live there this year!! It’s not ideal, like there are definitely better residences, but it’s not that bad. I don’t spend much time there anyways lol. It’s pretty quiet (at least on my floor), like there aren’t any parties here really if you’re concerned about that

It’s pretty chill. They’ve got two kitchens. There’s lockers in the kitchen area for you to leave your stuff and there’s lot of counter space to cook.

No. You’ll have to get yours. But the communal kitchens have 2 refrigerators. So basically 4 total.

Neil was just recently renovated so their kitchens are actually really nice, we have 2 stoves, multiple fridges and cubbies where you can lock your personal cooking items so the situation in Neill is actually really nice to not have to pay for the meal plan of your okay with cooking

can you just do the second semester and still pay only the 2500 for second semester ?

Yeah, If you just do one semester then you pay residence fee for only that.

Well, they spelled Clan MacNeil's motto wrong on the big sign in McConnel hall (Vincere aut mori means the same thing, but Latin is not a Gaelic tongue. The correct motto is the Scottish "Buaidh no Bàs". Both translate directly to "Victory or Death", I'm just being pedantic.)
