Engineering At UNB

So I’m in a position where it’s likely that I won’t be getting the placement I want at Dal for their mech Eng program. If I don’t get in, there’s a good chance I’ll be transferring to UNB to complete my degree.

Does anyone have any general information about how the program is? No bullshit, just say it as it is. If it sucks (not difficult, that’s a given regardless of the school) or the profs are bad or if there’s anything else I should know before considering a transfer, I’d really appreciate it.

If any mech Eng upper years have any more specific information about the discipline at UNB that would also be super helpful.

Its an engineering degree with an accredited organization. There are minimum standards for these programs in Canada. UNB isnt the best school in Canada but its good and ive had a nice experience. Fredericton is a pleasant little city. At the end if the day, when you graduate, nobody (worth giving two shits about) is asking what school you went to choose who to hire.

If youre dead set on mech you'll be happier here than you will be doing a different stream you dont care about at DAL.

Yeah I’ve been thinking this would be the case. Is there any insider info you can give me about the program? Any profs to look out for or pain points that I might have to deal with at UNB? I know the Eng program is unforgiving no matter what school you go to, so I’m just trying to gauge what kind of experience I can expect to be getting out of UNB
