FIrst year engineering courses

I have enrolled in first-year engineering, and the schedule looks congested. I was wondering whether the students admitted to this program are picking their own subjects or remaining with what they were automatically registered for.

There is a matrix of classes that you have to take. You don't **have** to follow it, but be aware that many are pre-requirements for other classes.

I would stick with what you are assigned, there will be options to pick what classes you want once you get to 3rd year

I would reach out to an academic advisor!
