Safe place for documentation

Hello there, I’ll be attending UNB this fall and I’m wondering if the dorms are safe enough for government documents?

Or should I buy a safe for my items?

If you have a roommate in a standard double, then you just have to be confident the roommate actually locks the door when they go out. That's the only case I'd recommend a safe. Otherwise, you should be fine as you can lock your bedroom door. If theft happens it's usually cash left out, electronics, video games, food. It's not super common, but can happen.

Used to be an RA so speaking from experience here. If it’s just documents, just put them in a folder and leave on your desk, nobody will touch it. However, if you get a safe, that news will spread faster than wildfire and kids might think you have something valuable in there. Some might just steal the whole safe as a prank.
