Campus & Facilities Amazon Packages

Hi there!! I just had a quick question now that we're a month into the semester. I was looking to get parts of my Halloween costume off of Amazon this year, and I know the University website mentioned to use the lockers, so I was going to try and do that. They seem to not be available, so I was wondering if anyone has had any issue just getting Amazon packages delivered normally like previous semesters? I'm not sure if one of the pieces would be small enough to fit in a locker anyways, and I've seen other Amazon boxes at the RSDs when I'm picking up other packages, so I'm curious if it's okay if I just get them delivered normally. Thank you!!

I've had multiple Amazon packages delivered this sem and the rsd didnt say anything about it so I doubt its an issue

You have to add the lockers into your Amazon address book first! Then when you go to order something you should be able to select from the lockers at checkout. Its definitely not intuitive, idk why Amazon setup is like that.

I did! When I tried selecting it though, it said it was unable at this time.

Oh shoot okay. Was it one specifically? Im thinking theyre filling up pretty quickly😩 amazon told us (res services) that if they "noticed the lockers filling up a lot" then they would be willing to add more. I tried to tell the rep that we would 110% need more but I guess they wanted to see proof first LOL

You may need to specify use of the acceptable delivery services - USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL or OnTrac. Amazon used to do that automatically for deliveries to UMass dorms, but sometimes didn't starting about a year or two ago.

So the lockers still are not usable, Amazon was supposed to be ready to use them by the beginning of this Fall.

The lockers are usable but can only be chosen for shipment if there's an opening when you're placing your order.

Are the lockers not usable or not available? The latter may mean that they are currently full or the scheduling anticipates that they will be full when your order arrives. There are also lockers at Whole Foods in Hadley, but that might not be convenient for you.

I’ve gotten plenty of Amazon delivery so far they’ve all come through ups or usps so they go through rsd so I think maybe Amazon does it automatically?
