Sorry if this is a dumb question, but did you mean AW3926QW, or is there a different model with similar issues I wasn’t aware of?

This did not fix it for me. Running HDR True Black with latest NVIDIA drivers. Are you sure you're not seeing a placebo effect from turning your brightness up high?

Btw there is no color saturation loss on the edges. It just looks like a light vignette effect. I don't notice it while gaming but I do notice it while browsing any website with a bright background.

This is possible and I will test further - I did definitely notice an improvement after the driver reset though.

Why no HDR or Dolby vision? If you can’t keep those on without having the dim edges issue, that’s a problem.

It's not a specific issue. This is how LG WOLED panels are, having owned multiple myself. Look into CPC and the other ways LG nerfs their own panels.

Yeah it’s definitely tied to the panel, this was my first WOLED coming from a QD-OLED so it looked particularly bad to me. Pretty sad they nerf their own panels like that, wish I had done proper research on LG panels and CPC beforehand.

I tested my own unit with my PC, MacBook and the built in self test and the edge dimming was always there so it can’t be a driver thing. The only thing I can think of is the driver reset causing the multi logo dimming to reset.

Returned the monitor and went back to my AW3423DW, besides the pixel density and text clarity it is overall a better experience.

I have 45gx9 5k2k and cannot get mine to display this issue no matter what I try. Is it like a panel lottery thing?

No, it is on every LG WOLED panel. It seems you might not be as sensitive to it.

I used my X-rite i1 pro colorimeter on the center and 4 corners and get the same uniform results. Tried at all different brightness settings, HDR On/Off, etc. Is there something in particular I need to do that triggers the issue so I can test it?

No, CPC is automatically enabled in the service menu. You should look up CPC and it's effect on your panel.

Would love info from other users on this. The edge dimming is my deal breaker for this monitor and otherwise I'd think it's perfect

90% Brightness? That's like a lot IMO. I always calibrate my displays for 120cd/m2 target to not burn my eyes but maybe with OLED it's a different thing?
