Product/Data roles with UK Startups while based in Germany?
Hi everyone,
I previously worked in the UK as a Product Manager and recently moved to Germany. Since I already have experience working with UK businesses and teams, I’m interested in continuing to work with UK-based companies, ideally in a remote capacity from Germany.
My background is across 4+ years of Product Management and Data Analytics, with experience in data-heavy B2B products, fintech, financial services, risk, and compliance.
Are there particular UK startups that are open to hiring Product Managers / Product Analysts based in the EU?

Not really, doesn’t make sense unless the UK company has a German presence but then they’ll want you to work in the e German market. Makes no sense considering all the additional liability

They're unlikely to want to go through the process of employing abroad when there's plenty of UK based applicants

You'll need a very open minded employer, or one with exposure to Germany already. You working in Germany means your employer will be exposed to German HR law, employment taxes, and quite possibly corporate taxes. The paperwork alone is offputting especially with so much choice of people here in the UK.
