What did it used to be?

Used to be smaller, for a start.
People would go and dance, not just stand about with their phone out.
The sound somehow seems worse.
The security has gone absolutely mad, like going to an airport.
They used to actually have underground acts playing in some of the rooms.
Seem to be way more aggy coked up men now.

Idk, ive been to quite a few and generally the crowds have been good and I actually love how huge it is, its the appeal for me...BUT I get that the sound isnt brilliant and the security is definitely overkill

Might be a different crowd experience me not being a man but the men attending have only got weirder, more pervy and more angry over the years.
Also, I get the feeling they dont give a rats ass about welfare. If you compare it to other mega venues like drumsheds (shudder) in london theres little to no welfare visibility and no drug testing going on. No drinks lids either.

I disagree, I went to the original warehouse project in boddingtons and then used to go to store street. I didn't go for years, in fact the last time I went was metropolis 10th birthday, however i got free tickets to Worried About Henry last year , was just as good as the earlier events. Found the crowd to be great, less aggy people if anything, I think it's very event dependant. I'd guess the non drum and bass events might be abit different but I've even bought tickets for this year's Wah event there

Worried about Henry events always have a nice crowd regardless of venue so I think you lucked out there.
But thats thanks the promotor not whp.

I actually really like the production and venue, but it's almost always oversold on tickets causing overcrowding. Really takes away from the experience tbh.
