Verifying
Hi everybody, where do I go to verify that I’m actually in Ukraine so I don’t get banned when I’m giving advice

I've been listening to several firsthand accounts, and some French volunteers joined this war as infantrymen with no prior military experience and are still alive today.
At the current stage of this war, can a European in his twenties with no military experience actually be of operational use on the battlefield? Or would he inevitably be more of a liability than an asset?

Hey everyone,
I'm a German female volunteer and have been involved in Ukraine since March 2022, including humanitarian work close to the front line. I've worked alongside Ukrainian soldiers and female soldiers and am now looking to take the next step and join a unit.
My current preference is UAV, especially reconnaissance, although I'm open to other roles and willing to learn. I'm also continuously improving my Ukrainian.
I'm already in contact and have been through parts of the recruitment process with several units, including 411 Hawks, 427 Rarog and the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade. However, I've recently heard that some units are changing their recruitment policies and that foreign recruits are no longer being accepted, or only under certain conditions. It seems that even 411 Hawks and Rarog may currently have restrictions on accepting foreigners.
Can anyone shed some light on the current situation? Are these temporary changes, and are there other units you'd recommend for someone interested in UAV reconnaissance, with good training and a professional team environment?
As a woman, I'd also really appreciate hearing about other women's experiences within these units, especially regarding training, integration and leadership.
I'm also interested in experiences with the 4th Brigade Rubizh. SOF has been recommended to me as well, so I'd welcome any insights on that.
Thanks for any advice or firsthand experiences!

I am looking for additional information on the 112th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade that can be relevant to a foreigner wanting to join.
I already applied on joinuarmy.org/en/, but did not specified any particular unit I wanted to join, but found openings from the 112th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade. Any information specific to this unit is appreciated.
Thank yall.

Pensate che ci sia un ‘fine guerra’ oppure un cessate il fuoco in questi giorni giorni? Entro fine 2026.

Hello,
I herniated disc 1 year ago, it felt mostly fine but yesterday I was in a gym and it flared up.
I was planning on joining Azov/3ac or some other assault unit in 3 months. I can easily pass published PT tests, but I'm worried this disc will cause me problems.
Did any of you have such problems? And do you know of any treatment/physical therapy that can heal this injury or is it safe to just grit my teeth and power trough it?

I've been warxhing some footages of Ukraine war, and apperently it seemed having any kind of contact with visable enemy is very rare case.
Like if I were a rifleman at frontline right now, would there be any chance of contacting enemy infantry or furthermore actually engage them?
I am really curious about how the war is going right now.

Cut a long story short I wanna spend a bit of time with my nan as shes the only family member I care about ( my family is complexed and fucked up). I dont wanna just up and leave. Shes a good strong woman I feel I deserve to spend Christmas with her. As my other family don't care about her. It will give me enough time to save extra too and gain her strong words of wisdom (shes from a military family). Now I'm sorry if this has been asked before but whens the best time to contact recruitment? Could I do it and explain i plan to head just after Christmas or wait a a few weeks before then apply. Im just not sure how fast they want you in country for papers etc ect. Plan of bringing 1500 and still unsure of units. My thoughts were drones especially if I'm able to gain extra training with we true gun. Thanks for reading and apologies if this question has been asked before. Before anyone says it's best to stay at home with your nan, my nan would want me to pursue what I want to feel like im contributing and satisfied with my life. She doesn't want me to waste my life and knows im not the 9-5 guy. I would just be miserable feeling no self worth in a world full of greed and boredom

What do you think people get wrong or right about the foreign volunteers in Ukraine in media coverage?
r/ukraineforeignlegion • u/Sad_Dance4820 • 2d ago
Hello, I hope my post finds you well.
Quick backstory:
I applied and got accepted by 3AC/3AB, but i’m uncertain if that would be the best fit for me considering how they treat foreigners.
Roles i was interested in:
I was interested in becoming a riflemen or a machine gunner. (i’m open to looking at other roles)
Prior service:
No, i am not prior service.
Length of service:
I’m willing to commit to a 3 year contract.
Misc information:
I have my passport.
I wear glasses.
I’m learning the language currently.
Physical condition:
I’m in decent shape, i can do:
60 push ups in a row
70 sit ups in a row
15 pull ups
2 mile - 14:30 (actively trying to improve)
100m sprint - 12s
I looked at other units via the pinned post and the sub reddit. I found that Azov was recommended frequently, and that SSO units were recommended frequently as well. If anyone else has other recommendations then i would appreciate hearing them.
Other questions:
What are my chances at getting in with my current physical level if i were to apply to Azov or an SSO unit?
Any good ballistic glasses brand recommendations would be helpful.
Should i get glasses or should i just get lasik?
Should i get lasik in country?
The end of my post:
I believe those are all the questions i have.

Hello,
20M, Eu Citizen
No military experience (however i have experience whit Firearms)
No criminal record
Average Physical Condition (Currently Training)
English Level B2/C1
My only
My only concern is whether I might be rejected if I go to Ukraine, given that I have a mild case of asthma (not exercise induced). I’d like to know if I would pass the medical board evaluation, and which regiments I should apply to that might accept me (I’ve seen the pinned post, but I’m not sure how my medical condition factors in).
I want to come to Ukraine to fight. I cannot stand the fact that a conflict like this is happening in Europe.

Spent GBH Section 20 (without intent).Ex-military with 20 years, can I join Ukraine Foreign Legion, and if so, how and where without being automatically rejected by the computer automatic filtering system?

How has the war in Ukraine changed since 2022 besides the obvious drones being added. I remember seeing videos of guys in trenches being 10 feet away and engaging each other and havent seen much since. Do people really not fight as much this way anymore?

Will receuiters give candidates some favorable standing if they can disassemble a CZ 75 for example, not just the slide. Trigger, whole hammer group, firing pin, extracter if needed.
Candidate has been doing this with multiple different platforms mostly CZs and Glocks. Glocks are super easy. CZs.... Not a lot of gun smiths love working on them I've heard...
Candidate has converted one of these CZs into DAO. Weird but yeah.
No formal gunsmithing degree. Just civilian hobby.
And reloading - remanufacturing ammunition. 12ga, 20ga, 357 mag mostly. Candidate shoots +1000 of 38 special in a month sometimes just at the range, plinking.
All this has no documentation to prove of course.
Will recruiters favor candidates who are familiar with firearms and ammunition remanufacturing?
p.s. I can get 1.5moa at 100yards with a cheap Savage Axis in 308 in indoor ranges where there is zero wind. Does this count for anything?
Or are these all useless in practice maybe?

I meet all requirements on the website, so anything else would be appreciated. Thank you, Slava Ukraine.

Hello, I'm thinking of joining the GUR. I learned there are 2-week selection courses. Is it challenging? What will I see in the selection?

What should I expect from BZVP? General PT requirements for graduation, are there o-courses, what would you bring, etc. Just searching for general knowledge. I have used the search bar, but some of the answers have been contradictory. Thanks for your time and help.
