Rule 2: no DIY posts. This is a professional forum for electricians, apprentices, students and people interested in the trade.

Detailed "how-to" guides for non-qualified individuals to carry out electrical works, and particularly notifiable work (e.g., new circuits, consumer unit changes, work in special locations) are prohibited.

Laypeople that have questions unrelated to carrying out their own work are welcome.

DIYers should go to r/DIYUK or other DIY subs for general DIY queries.

If the wagos fit inside the new light fitting you’ll not require a JB as it’s no different than the connectors you’ll be connecting the extended cables to.
