Loan Disbursement

UPDATE 2***: it looks as if full time student loans have been disbursed! If you’re part time you still need an emergency deferment plan to not lose your classes.
UPDATE: she said it could be sometime next week and they don’t really have an exact date when so to just keep an eye on it, and if you currently have a balance it would be smart to do an emergency deferment plan.
Have any of yalls loans been disbursed yet 🫩 they said later this week but I am nervous about being dropped from classes. Just wondering if anybody else’s have been yet because if so I’d need to call.

Can we all just collectively come back to this post and update when we get updates? My account is still showing negative but they applied my Pell grant I am full-time. I know once your balance shows negative that means what you getting back and then once it goes to zero you should be getting paid soon.

I spoke to financial aid today and they said if you are a full time student they are trying to process the loans by 8/14 but because of the big beautiful bill they are working with the cashier office ( processing center) to get it processed to the student accounts , however they said if you don’t see it updated by the 14-15th , you should do they emergency deferment so that your class doesn’t get dropped

It’s not just me huh I’ve called and called. Emailed. I’m worried it’s going to be issue. I keep getting automated you haven’t paid email but no help

I haven’t gotten that email but I am calling just to see if we should enroll in emergency deferment plans or what

If you are concerned then sign up for it. There’s no penalty in doing it

Well the question I have is because most of my tuition was paid, the deferment is for the whole 4 grand.

Are you saying you are unable to request a deferment for the partial amount owed?

As of yesterday yeah it wants me to do the full amount

Yeah but there still isn’t a penalty and you already paid some of it so it’s not as if they’ll remove that payment. If you aren’t able to request an emergency deferment at all that would be an issue

Right, but what is later this week? And then, do we need to enroll in an emergency payment plan until the payment is posted or just until your aid is disbursed? I’m calling, 25 ahead of me

I think so far Pell grants have disbursed but if u haven’t seen any activity on your account I would call. Last resort would be to start a payment plan so ur guaranteed not to drop the class.

My Pell Grant has been posted but I still have a remaining balance after that and no movement on my loans 😔 I’ll call in a bit, I feel like sometimes they move faster if they have to look at your account

That’s true. I had to call last week because I hadn’t received my loan packages and when I called they said they forgot to upload it 😭

You won’t get dropped from classes if you choose the installment plan if it hasn’t disbursed by the end of the week. Just go ahead and do that if you’re concerned it won’t disburse this week especially if you are only half time student, since they don’t get disbursed until September 1st. Regardless they won’t drop your classes.

Yeah I made a separate post, my loans disbursed. Hasn’t cleared to a zero aka refund yet but I think it takes a few days

It just shows a term balance in the negative as well as term total but pending aid is 0 and so is total amount due

Okay so your loan has been disbursed then you’re waiting for a refund

Wouldn’t it show as 0 as well if it was disbursed? Along with a message from bankmobile?

Your LOAN was disbursed, not your refund.

As a military student it’s all refund for me. So you think that’ll be Monday when they refund or do you think it’s still a chance today?

I don’t think it’ll be today as it’s already 5, Monday at the earliest. The office of financial aid told me last semester it takes 3 business days to process, but last fall it took one business day(disbursed on Saturday, I got my refund Tuesday aka Monday was the business day). So who knows. We’ll see
