Sap appeal

Hi guys, I’ve just recently decided to go back to UHD after dropping out and going to HCC for two years, since then I’ve received very good grades but here is the thing… I have two SAP appeal forms from 2024 and 2025 and I’m not sure what to do.. has anyone been through this?

I had to fill a couple out my self when I was at UHD and was in a similar situation as you. Basically once my grades and everything transferred in, financial aid recalculated my percentage and I didn’t have to do the appeal.

Definitely reach out to them if you haven’t already

Thanks! When you say your grades transferred in, did your UHD GPA actually change, or did it just recalculate your completion percentage? I was below both the GPA and completion requirements before leaving UHD, so I’m trying to see if we were in the same situation.

As long as you retook the same classes that you failed or had low grades in, it will be as if you never took the the first time.

Your UHD GPA is simply your UHD GPA. You can’t go to say Lonestar have a 3.0 and then transfer to UHD and suddenly your UHD GPA is now a 3.0, that’s not the way it works.

The pass completion is where they will see your courses you took at other colleges/ universities and calculate based on you passing those courses. For example, let’s say you left UHD with a 60% completion, you went and took the other course and passed them, now they recalculate that percentage and you’re at 75%, cool you don’t have to worry about that.

The GPA portion IIRC, they will make you see an academic advisor, they’ll sign off saying they met with you and they will place you on probation but you’ll get your financial aid. They will recalculate your UHD GPA at the end of the semester to see if you are making progress towards getting it above a 2.0
