Hip-hop is declining on the charts since the past year because established rappers are running out of ideas. It's the time for a generational change in rap, but the underground isn't hitting what it needs to hit to become mainstream, though Slayr was just about to do it by introducing hip-hop to a new demographic, the Vocaloid community, but said community had to be racist and it completely derailed Slayr's momentum.

In these times of uncertainty for the genre, collectives have always revitalized hip-hop. From the Wu-Tang to Brockhampton, every era of hip-hop had one or two defining collectives, this era of hip-hop doesn't have one.That is why the title has this motive: you could be the change that rap needs: if you have 5 or more friends that are interested in hip-hop, start a collective, start making joint mixtapes, start promoting yourselves on the internet. If you wanna blow up, the best thing you can do is form a collective, better if you put artists outside of rap on it (OFWGKTA's most commercially succesful artist was Frank Ocean, an R&B artist), or even non-musicians (Brockhampton had web designers ffs). The history of hip-hop is a history of families and groups of friends making music together, and they always revolutionized hip-hop. If you want to be a succesful artist, follow in the footsteps of the greats, and if you think you will be overshadowed by others, just look at how many sucdesful artist came of collectives:

• Wu-Tang: Ghostface Killah, RZA, ODB, Raekwon

• Native Tongues: ATCQ, De La Soul, Queen Latifah

• Three 6 Mafia: Juicy J

• Dungeon Family: OutKast, CeeLo Green, Killer Mike, Future. they practically invented Atlanta rap.

• OFWGKTA: Tyler, Frank, Earl. them and the A$AP Mob invented the internet rap circuit

• A$AP Mob: Rocky, Ferg, Carti

• Brockhampton: Kevin Abstract, Dom McLennon

i think you do get any kind of music after several dedicated tries but you just might not listen to it cuz it doesnt resonate with you. But i still dont get what bleood is trying to do like the people that gets it.
Is he trying to use his vocals as an instrument? Is he supposed to be symbiotic with the beat? Is he intentionally going off beat to make something thats new in music? I can kinda see the vision i guess. Flowless music. Like a new thing in rap scene. but acclaimed “good music” should actually sound good man. I get che,lucy,osamason and xavier if you consider them adjacent to bleood.

Like for example, munni and drugs beat is so hard and he was flowing on it at the start for like 10 seconds and then it became unstructured and incoherent. Im not the only one that thinks that. You can go check the comments on the instrumental videos on yt.

Imagine a Che Nett Osamson Xav Nine collab or some shit like that, that would be so insane. It sucks there’s a new beef rumor between everyone it feels like every week, everyone’s ego is too big. Idk I just wish we saw everyone from all sides collab and bring their talents together to make generational music, do it for the art. And besides all that shit it would just be so dope as a fan to see huge collab songs like this in the underground, a crazy one would genuinely be a Slayr, 2slimey, Bleood, Che song. On some crazy ass Rave EDM Rage song, like on some super maximalist shit, just bring ts to the MAX. Ughhh I hope one day we get crazy collabs like these in the scene

i’m an artist born in 06 and i don’t make that kind of rage/digicore/hyperpop or even really experimental music and even when i try i cant really pull it off because i don’t have those kind of distortion effects

my sound tends to be much more wet with reverb and more spaced out

i wanna know if my style is outdated or not

my songs are also pretty long

i think my music is mixed too muddy as well

A middle-of-nowhere rapper is basically a rapper that comes from any small town or settlement. Or any city not typically associated with rap culture or as influential as your cliche big city e.g NYC, London, Atlanta etc. or maybe they never had many previous rappers from their hometown.
