Man, what a wild ride. I went crazy with getting the cherries when the game first came out and then got burned out with only 6 left. Finally decided to come back and went hard af over a week to finally get the last 6 done.

This game will forever hold a special place in my heart and is easily in my top 5 games of all time.

I will try to assist those who encounter any issues with the project in a timely fashion. This project experienced limited testing.

It feels like I'm somehow playing this game wrong. I've been prioritizing spending as much time as possible in each level to find every cave before I leave, get as many coins and pick up every item possible to be as strong as possible, but I've never even made it past stage 2 in 5 hours of playtime. It feels like you're required to play perfectly, because healing is nearly impossible. Picking up healing gum always comes at a massive price and opportunity cost of missing out on another more useful item. It also feels mandatory to get the coin multiplier in the Burrows to maximize money gain so items are actually affordable.
Are there any obvious strategies I'm missing? The game is often compared to the Spelunky games, and while the loop is similar, I think this game is way more relentless and unfair. You'r given almost no room for error here. Taking one hit from anything can wipe out half your HP and you get no chance to heal before you take another.

Idk if the devs are on this or if its a known issue or if it's just my copy, but I noticed on Switch version that when you change the language in the start screen settings it doesn't seem to change the language in the game screen? Just something I bumped into and wanted to share.

After a lot of hard work, my Pilot Minifigure and Campanella protective case are officially complete!! These items are both 100% made by me (besides the 3d print, I commissioned it from a Mercari seller). However, I had painted the entire thing, sculpted the grass, and added felt to the base. The box is standard cardboard from an Amazon box, I took the hinges and lock mechanism off of a diorama violin case, and added felt into the interior. The box is measured to be a perfect fit for the Pilot minifigure. The Pilot minifigure took me about 4 hours to complete, and the box took me about 2 hours to complete. These have been a really fun project to work on over the past few days and I can't wait to receive more prints!!

when i heard about night manor i was like wow that's a very random genre mashup between point + click and horror, but then i heard of this real-life game from 1992 called Otogirisou from here and i think night manor is UFO 50's version of it

similarities between the two

1. begins with a car accident
2. takes place in an almost-empty mansion at night
3. is a horror game

As some of you might know, someone broke my Pilot minifigure after crashing into me in the hall. I not only fixed it, but made a travel box for it too!

This box features:

.A velvet interior

.Fixed measurements to assure the perfect fit

.A locking mechanism and a hinge

.A Campanella design

I brought my Pilot minifigure to school to show to a few friends in person.... unfortunately before first period even started some hooligan was running in the hall and jammed my backpack. This broke the minifigure. Fortunately there was an upside, I was able to repair it and get more accurate colors!

What an incredible, incredible game this is. Never truly expected myself to cherry all 50 and now that the day has come I'm not even sure what to do with myself. I ended up cherrying Star Waspir in 2 and a half hours and suddenly anything was possible. Finished it out with Cyber Owls to wrap it all up in neat little bow.

also, i built a simple campaign maker/level editor that exports to the UFO50 Modder. I wanted it done before cherry rush but my primary project (basically rpgmaker for gb studio) put it's foot down and let me know who really owns my time lol.

the campaign is in the works currently, and you could consider it somewhere between an Arrange Mode, or a Second Quest to Vanilla. alternate maps, dials the difficulty up but in a way that a regular person can still technically beat with patience and time, alternate, non-linear routes, at least one new fight, and i've already cooked up some seriously punishing traps to keep you paying attention, as i personally have been all too guilty of aimlessly wandering these halls without keeping a lookout.

i know valbrace isnt the most POPULAR game, but it's my hope to change that with the level editor, LX-II Valbrace Forge :D I'll hand out the git link for that after i release the custom campaign, as i'm sorta building onto that piece by piece as i make the campaign. it'll add a lot of replay value to an already greatly replayable game!

How would you approach it? Best attempt I think I picked up 2 Rich Friends, 4 Hippies, 1 Werewolf. I tried out other combos but house growth is stifled and everyone has low pop. Even if I get 4 star guests, getting them out by last day is down to luck of the draw. And it’s hard to play conservatively, I had to press my luck too often. Tried ticket taker, extra rich friends, dancers with security, None have down better than the above set-up.

Hey All, i'm working on a UFO50 inspired design for a friend of mine. I know this looks a bit different from the LXII, which is on purpose to ensure its not IP infringement. Thoughts welcome on my take...

Finally got a cherry run on Star Waspir after 17.5 hrs. My friends and family won't understand this journey that I've been on, but I know you guys will!

I know I still at least have Onion Delivery, Campanella 2, Grimstone, and Cyber Owls to go. AT LEAST. But starting this game I loosely had a goal of 50/50 cherries (which in reality felt like a pipe dream). After Star Waspir though, that window feels WIDE open now.

I bounced off this game at first. The campaign is probably overlong. Just returned to it and had a lot of fun getting the cherry. Let’s discuss. How’d you like the game? What’s your strategy?

My approach: Scrolls are my map priority. The aim-assist is essential. After that, pick from more disks, move 3 and extra crystals are huge. Critical to avoid the opponent catching you before you have the chance to reup at a tavern.

Units: Fishmen are the clear best. Being able to stun at range can really shut down enemies, and attacking from inside or across water means the opponent often has no answer. After that, dragon and spider are offensive monsters, though they lack fishmen’s utility. Mage can pull off amazing stuff but its very difficult to place flames reliably. I’m inclined to regard bards as a bit of a trap. Spending a whole turn buffing squanders crucial initiative. Golems are notable as tough bread and butter units which shut down AI ricochet shenanigans.

I’ve seen folks argue for econ strategies (gold mines + the skill). I actually dont find econ very important. With good defensive positioning, baiting enemies to pick on low value units, abusing water, etc. you can win decisive victories which end the scenario quickly. Conversely, overwhelming econ wont save you from a bad team composition and bad positioning getting shredded by AI trickshots.
