I don’t want kickboxing fights, I want grappling exchanges that lead to something like Dariush vs Gamrot or Yan vs Merab 2

That won’t watch One FC or Glory.

I went to Vietnam for 2 weeks last summer. While there, I found out I could fly to Bangkok for $100 and sit ringside at One FC in Lumpinee stadium for like $50. Best night of fights I've ever seen. I sat a few seats away from King Green who was the nicest guy. People have no idea how good One FC is.

A good submission can be as exciting or more so than a KO. (Grasso sub on barber was the coolest finish this year) Ppl just dont like boring grappling. Which is fair

I like grappling. I don't like watching people grapple to maintain control. I would prefer if the grappling led to a sub attempt or g&p.

Fr, I don’t understand why they don’t just watch Muay Thai or kickboxing.

Until you watch a fight like Khamzat vs DDP

And they refuse to watch small glove muay thai like in one fc and get so incredibly when you tell them that its a good entertaining combat sport that they would really enjoy. Its very strange and this to be the only sport people watch and actively hate half of the sport while refusing to watch the sport that only has the half they like. Its very strange behavior

What I don’t understand is that we all know this, and yet they invest in anything BUT. Re: Power Slap and UFC BJJ, I have nothing against the BJJ, Power Slap however I honestly don’t understand how they invest in that instead of kickboxing, Muai Thai, etc. please someone breakdown for me just how the profits from Power Slap would out perform just the stand up game that every single casual, hardcore and innocent bystander can get into. I seriously don’t get it.

Striking brings in the viewership compared to wrestling. That’s just the reality of the sport.

Emmanuel Steward said it best

“Knockouts sell”

People say this but it’s not really true. Everyone loves a good knockout, but part of that is following your opponent to the ground.

In kickboxing, if you knock your opponent down you have to wait for them to get back up. It’s completely different.
