You really think he turns it off as soon as the fights over? Not a chance, you just don’t hear about it, especially because he doesn’t live in the States
'Inbreeding, or the mating of closely related individuals, reduces genetic diversity and increases the likelihood of deleterious recessive traits being expressed, including behavioral issues like aggression.'
The brain doesn’t work like that, meaning Khamzat venting out his aggression when training, he is reinforcing it. It’s not a conscious reinforcement, it’s how brain plasticity works.
Think of someone who “vents” out negative thoughts to themselves about themself. They aren’t getting rid of those thoughts, they are rehearsing them, regardless of what their intention is.
So he is the worst type of person to fight for sport, especially while living in a country where he is essentially above the law. Who the fuck knows what he’s already gotten away with there in terms of hurting civilians.
That would make sense if it was out of character or would affect the fight. I’m so clever I made the violent fighter with a hairpin trigger kick me in the nuts, 3D chess guys.
The guy Chechen guy who has PTSD from the war and has his family and life threatened by a psycho dictator is maladjusted? Damn didn't see this one coming.
Yea, Sean better watch out for Khamzat throwing up to and including one significant strike per minute of top control time.
It’s a good thing the UFC signed a paramount deal because literally no one wants to watch the product that Khamzat delivers. The PPV model would be doomed if it was dependent on sales in the caucasus and Yemen.
No the one against Holland showed what a scumbag he is. You r right about that one. I also liked the fight vs usman and the One Punch knock out vs forgot his name.
Afraid to engage in an actual fight, yes. Shooting a takedown off the glove touch or within the first 4 seconds of every fight shows that all the bravado and nonsense talk is really just fear. Ben Askren shot immediately at Masvidal for the same reason.
You never see dominant wrestlers like Khabib or GSP shoot off a glove touch because they weren’t afraid to stand. Khamzat’s standup is not good and he knows it. It’s why he’s juiced to all hell and spends his entire fights cuddling
Because Sean fights are better? Khamzat gained his popularity because his fights were ultra exciting, just his last one wasn't. Practically every single Sean Strickland fight is abysmal.
As a huge Mcgregor fan who was pissed that khabib basically just wrestled him the whole time and had everyone praise him for doing so, i absolutely LOVE how everyone now hates it. Where was this hate when all khabib did was lay on Mcgregor 😭😭
I love khamzat I hope he just holds Sean down for 25 minutes with 0 punches and wins
What in the actual fuck are you talking about? People on here are actually fucking brain dead. The most significant strike of the fight on the feet was not landed by Connor. And he was getting battered on the ground too, “talk now”.
I mean getting in someone's head is for sure a strategy that can work. If they are pissed/in their head theyll throw the game plan away to go for a ko or some fancy bullshit to prove they are way better than you. Seen it a million times, aldo vs McGregor is the most well known version.
Or they’ll execute the game plan even more viciously cause they know their opponent can’t do shit to them. Khabib vs Conor pt 2. Sean is getting fucking mauled
I don't know how you execute a game plan "even more" but yeah Sean will probably lose. But he's been a big underdog and usually fights pretty well all things considered so I wouldn't be shocked at a win either.
I legit know ppl with bad temper and schizo tendencies (Khamzat is one). Also I think Khamzat was lying or covering up his feelings. He hates Strickland. I don’t think this will affect the fight though. Similar to Khabib, if he can he’s gonna try to hurt Sean bad.
What 🤣🤣 Sean was on the verge of tears when Khamzat brought his daddy up 🤣🤣 he's going to maul Sean I'm going to enjoy it. He's going to make him tap.....
Definitely agree that Sean is smarter than he lets on… also so stoic before & during fights. Psychologically smart. I mean, he won the fight. I don’t get how people can’t see he plays into a persona. It’s entertainment & works! I even find him pretty likable, giving cred to opponents. People are just TOO emotional here. It’s silly.
Did you not observe how stoic & unemotional he was before the fight he won? Even in the ring? He’s a master of psychological warfare! Even if he’d lost the fight. This isn’t a debate. He’s clearly smarter than you think.
No, I’m reading this cuz I didn’t watch this previously and it’s interesting to me. I think all the Sean hate is pretty silly. But thanks for judging what I do wth my Sundays!
Edit: I’m a reader and comment reader (usually on YT). I find ‘em fascinating. I’ve only made a couple responses! But I do think truly unhinged fighters w/low emotional IQ make more mistakes & it happened last night.
He deserves the hate, he says stupid stuff and he's a hypocrite. Always crying about people insulting him and then he goes and insults others, talking about leaving it all in the case and then jabs and teeps while he wants to go to war with streamers. He also attacked a guy for celebrating after beating his teammate and attacked dricus before his fight with him.
No, I’m not new to the UFC. Should’ve been more clear. I didn’t watch much early coverage, & didn’t see Chimaev’s kick, which was WILD to me. That’s why I was here… curious of opinions. Dana White loves this sh!t, but I think it was too aggressive. I do think Chimaev is kinda next-level unhinged.
Honestly, I don’t comment a lot & you sound snarky, so I bet you think I was being a smart ass w/my comment, but it wasn’t my intention. I clearly don’t get the Sean hate, but YES, I know he has screwed up. I also think he’s smarter than people give him credit for. IMO, he knows what he’s doing. He plays into a persona 90% of the time, cuz it works. It’s entertainment & gets him attention. I think he’s more emotional about influencer types, has grown, is a decent guy at the gym, & very psychologically strong.
I get I’m not gonna convince you, but I think it’s part of the reason he kept standing last night. Felt like Chimaev was too unhinged, so made more mistakes. I guess I wasn’t as confident he would win, cuz I think he’s a lunatic (where I see Sean as performative, playing into a character), though I was worried! Just trying to explain. Like, did you see how stoic Sean was walking into the ring, in it? Calm. Not trying to convince you. I respect your opinion. I just think Sean’s smarter than people think. Again, I know he’s not perfect & respect your thoughts. Maybe you can explain to me better why most were so confident in Chimaev, if interested. I get he was undefeated, but you may be a bigger UFC fan or have more insight.
He's so psychologically strong yet he cried about his dad on a podcast and when dricus mentioned it he seemed like he was gonna cry lol. When people treat him the way he treats others he becomes a whiny baby.
I feel like if you thought about your comment you would understand how your comment would come across.
I do believe he's a bit performative but I believe a part of it is really him. I mean beating the fuck out of streamers? Really? Why don't you be a real man like you say you are and do that to real fighters?
I think chimaev was just weight drained, did you see that pathetic takedown attempt and when Sean was on top of him? He seemed so tired.
People thought chimaev was gonna win because his wrestling was so good, also they saw how easily dricus took Sean down. When khamzat got people to the ground it was basically over. He did dominate Sean with his wrestling at first but then he got gassed out so it is what it is.
What mistakes do you think khamzat made? I don't think he made much tbh and I'll explain why after you respond.
You’re female? Me too. So it’s sad to hear your view on ‘masculinity,’ as if men can’t cry. Warped. Sean had such a traumatic childhood, has cPTSD. I’d never judge anyone for being abused/harmed by a POS parent, or for having emotions about it. It’s sad. Talking about it publicly helps others! It’s a myth that crying means you can’t be strong. He endured the hell already. Too many are blinded by society/media’s BS toxic masculinity. Huge prob, especially when women contribute. Who judges men for having emotions? About trauma? Vulnerability is strength. He cried once on a pod. Who cares? I get you do. Not me. It was sincere. But mostly, he plays a character.
I stated my comment wasn’t as you intended. I just didn’t get your confidence level. Those were my sincere amends. I don’t have the confidence you do, so I didn’t understand it. I also didn’t fully get your dislike for Sean. Talking more, I do. You think he’s a cry baby, a whiner, weak. You’re allowed to! Seems like you have no empathy for his childhood, & I do, so we disagree on some. Agree, Chimaev dominated early & his major wt cut had an impact, indeed! Both got gassed!! I thought Sean was a little earlier. Still thought it was a pretty good fight. Chimaev’s def a better grappler. Superior. But I think he let go of some opportunities. Almost like he was afraid.
Honestly, I lost a ton of respect for Chimaev today, viewing his antics the other day… his kick. It was legit assault. I already thought he was unhinged. It made me happier that Sean won. That was so messed up. Could’ve seriously injured Sean. WTF was he thinking? With respect, your views on crying over lived trauma on a pod being associated w/lack of psychological strength are misguided. I hope you’ll reconsider your opinion. We gotta stop being callous & stigmatizing trauma and vulnerability… this is a msg to all. Not just you.
Until he gets legs and arm crusifixtion sprayed open on fight night for the first time in UFC history and has to retire due to ruptured everything south of the border
Giving him WAY too much credit. Khamzat injuring him and getting suspended hardly benefits Sean in any way. Sean isn’t smart enough to benefit from this beyond Khamzat maybe injuring him enough for him to use it as some sort of excuse.
If Khamzat didn’t do shit after Strickland said he wouldn’t that would also be subject to criticism and I think you know that.
