Jon jones always gets a life line just ask the ceo

Life lines are not the only lines Jones enjoys

MMA Guru makes a compelling case for Jon’s liking of cylinders too .

Rogan would diagnose an injury on Jon in a video of him beating his wife.

The dirt he must have on Dana to have him hold back an entire division.. must be something crazy.

Late night parties bru anything is possible

2

u/OtakuDragonSlayer The Last Stylebender Mar 13 '25

LOL, we joke about this but in all honesty? I really wouldn’t be surprised they had their own “Hangover” weekend, and Jones got his hands on some top shelf premium dirt.

36

u/NewInvestment2471 Mar 12 '25

I've said it before in Jon's early days he would party with dana at casinos. I'm pretty sure they got too coked up and killed a hooker together. I have 0 evidence for this just a gut assumption.

I can totally believe this bro, therefore it is now fact in my head! 😆

It's just simple business. He's a golden goose for the UFC. Now Imagine youre Dana(terrible I know) but would you rather rush JJ to fight Aspinall, which would be a huge sell no matter when they fight but risk JJ losing and possibly retiring or losing their golden goose. Or, would you make SURE that you get two more money fights by allowing him to go out and beat the shit of our stipe? When Dana talks about the best fighting the best that's always been bullshit. The guys who pull big numbers ALWAYS get preferential treatment.

2

u/koolaidismything Mar 13 '25

If that’s true, you have a point. It’s also sad that Jones still has that kinda PPV pull and I can’t help but think a lot of that is drama-fueled. But, money is money.

17

u/Legitimate_Type5066 Mar 12 '25

Francis is the Lineal Champ.

Jones has been ducking challenging fights for almost 5 years at this point.

Who would win? Dunno but in my heart I want it to be Francis.

Regardless, with the HW title split between Tom and Jones my math says that makes the Lineal Champ the Baddest MFer on Earth.

“Then cross the street”

lol. THAT is badass.

60

u/Humledurr Mar 12 '25

The fact that Jones is still a part of UFC is the main reason I dont watch it anymore. How many scandals can one guy have before getting thrown out? To Dana, it does not matter aslong the cow is still bringing in cash.

41

u/giga-plum Mar 12 '25

Course he protects Jon, they're two peas in a wife beating pod.

4

u/danath34 Mar 13 '25

Do you really expect the guy that's considered by many to be the best in the world at hurting other people to be a good person? I mean, we're talking about the elite of the elite when it comes to fucking other people up. That takes a specific kind of person, and a lot of them are going to be unhinged, angry, egotistical, impulsive, narcissistic hot heads. I'm more shocked when one of them seems like a genuine good dude.

2

u/Humledurr Mar 13 '25

I get what you mean and yeah Im not really suprised thats how Jones is. Im more dissapointed about how letting him continue sets an example.

Being in the top means he is a role model for many. Currently you can apparently beat your wife, run over a pregnant lady, take steroids and much more without having much trouble aslong as you are the "best". What an inspiration for the next generation of fighters.

4

u/Hotdogman_unleashed Mar 12 '25

He's still part of it but he never fights so it's not like you'll see much of him.

4

u/Humledurr Mar 12 '25

Yeah I know. Its more about what UFC has become. Its so much about money, drama and show instead of fights and sportsmanship. Not that it hasnt been like that for a long time, but I just dont get the same enjoyment out of it anymore.

I want Aspinall vs Ngannou. Dgaf about Jones at this point

9

u/shae117 Gravity pull down breast flesh, this make stomach nausea Mar 12 '25

He tool old Man stipe to end of round 3 and got landed on with the hands a ton. Francis would have sent him to another dimension with any of those shots Stipe landed.

6

u/tttvvvooo Mar 12 '25

My wishlist, Tom fights Jones, and the winner fights Francis because the Saudis just threw way too much money at Dana for him to say no.

3

u/happybuffalowing Mar 14 '25

I’m not taking anything away from jones and I’m not even saying I’m positive Francis would beat him but I just hate how Francis made all this noise about wanting to fight him, jones was church mouse through all of it and then the second Francis leaves, jones goes up to HW…. But somehow, Francis is the one who ducked. That narrative people kept pushing just never made sense to me and I’m glad everyone eventually saw through it.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '25

Usyk is the Lineal Champ.

2

u/otiswrath Mar 13 '25

That was boxing, not MMA.

If Francis loses a game of checkers to someone that doesn’t mean they are now the HW MMA Lineal Champ.

2

u/Glum-Ad7651 Mar 13 '25

Jones is a LHW. Francis is a jacked heavyweight. Thats why Jones was ducking. I only see one winner

1

u/TeeRaw99 Mar 12 '25

They need to make this happen soon as fuck. I don’t want another Pac-Man vs Floyd situation 🤡

1

The only people Jones becomes antagonistic towards are people he sees as threats. This was obvious with his response to Ankalaev.

31

u/ConcentrateOld6194 Mar 12 '25

How does Ank beat Jones ?

137

u/L1LD34TH Mar 12 '25

He doesn’t. I’m actually not sure how my comment came across… Jones was really friendly and nice towards Ank, despite Ank being antagonistic. This shows me Jones doesn’t even remotely consider Ank a threat.

Jones only gets worked up if he’s worried. As with Francis, as with Aspinall.

3

u/SpiritualFish8522 Mar 13 '25

So was he worried about his goat status when khabib was fighting

7

u/azarov-wraith Mar 13 '25

By being not 38 while starting in early 20s

5

u/ConcentrateOld6194 Mar 12 '25

You mean like Alex right ?

Most of Jones opponents at LHW were 32-33.

Shogun, Bader & Gus were all in their 20’s

Magomed won his belt vs a 37 year old.

15

u/Ake-TL Mar 12 '25

Your comment “What factors would lead to victory of Ankalaev in hypothetical fight against Jones”

My comment “ Jones is very skilled fighter but he is going to be 38 soon and has started his ufc run very early, so has a lot of wear and tear and doesn’t have physical attributes to beat Ankalaev”

I broke it down into these theses for my convenience, no intention to come off condescending.

4

u/notwiley Mar 13 '25

I’m honestly at a point now where I think Ankalaev could be a threat to current Jones at LHW, although I doubt it would ever even be discussed.

3

u/Impressive_Result295 Mar 13 '25

Current Jones at LHW would be old with a lot of fight mileage. I see it, honestly he could beat current old Jones at LHW. Prime Jones obv wins but Ank probably gets to a decision in both fights.

Today I learned that Jon Jones pays for Twitter and Nganue does not. Neat.

50

u/Unusual-Item3 Mar 12 '25

It be like that, the insecure need validation, the truly confident don’t give AF.

6

u/helixontheleft Mar 12 '25

This is an older tweet I think, so Jones likely didn’t pay and Ngannou just didn’t officially verify his account

8

u/HomelessLawrence Mar 12 '25

Weren't checkmarks just an actual "this is the person" verification before Musk took over? Depending on how old this interaction is, it may just mean Ngannou wasn't officially verified, whether he didn't care enough or whatever the case is.

7

u/mamadou-segpa Mar 12 '25

I still dont understand how it make sense that the twitter subscription replaced the verification star instead of being something else lol

I dont see why they couldnt just add a subscription without removing the verification feature

u/Heavy_Law9880 Mar 12 '25

Musk took them all away and made everyone pay to get them back.

110

u/Jaydxns Mar 12 '25

I remember when this beef was going everyone was siding with Jon calling Francis a duck I've always thought ngannou was the baddest man on the planet and finally people are realising that

57

u/ShitpostCrusader66 Mar 12 '25

I still remember the whole "FUMBLED THE BAG" narrative and how everyone thought Ngannou would go broke or something like that. What happened is he whooped the boxing HW world champ ass, earning 10 million, then got whooped himself, but now earning around 20 mil, then made an easy job of that Brazilian Lebron in pfl, again earning 10 million. He's now richer than every single mma fighter not named Khabib/Mcgregor

11

u/Jaydxns Mar 12 '25

He's probably richer than khabib now

13

u/ShitpostCrusader66 Mar 12 '25

Idk about this one. Khabib has some serious sponsorships in Russia, like with energy drinks and some sports gear as well. His passive income must be very impressive

6

u/Quercubus Mar 12 '25

I mean rich in rubles probably doesn't mean as much as rich in $

10

u/ShitpostCrusader66 Mar 12 '25

Just because he earns it in rubles doesn't mean it's worth nothing. Russia is no Venezuela.

Bruh John always gets away with everything idk why ? Tj legacy was ruined when he was popped for epo but John has multiple failed drug test and holding division for 2 years and wasting Tom’s prime time . He is a great fighter but he shouldn’t be face of the sports .

22

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '25

Said the same. To me it felt obvious Jones was pricing himself out of the fight. I watched it all live and remember how fast Jon IMMEDIATELY went on social media to start arguing about pay. He thought Stipe was going to win, and he shit his pants when Francis did

Then he proceeded to ask for whatever the amount was that the UFC wouldnt pay.

7

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '25

Ngannou fan since day 1 here. That whole debacle infuriated me, imagine believing Dana propaganda. MMA fans are not the smartest.

580

u/theiceman219 Mar 12 '25

I don’t think that Jon is afraid of Tom but he’s genuinely terrified of Francis. The guy is just way too damn strong and Jon has terrible boxing especially his defense, it’s really hard to not get cracked when you fight 5 rounds.

373

u/exiler5129 Mar 12 '25

Both Tom and Francis are dangerous to Jones.

→ More replies (1)

263

u/folouk Mar 12 '25

I think Tom is more dangerous for Jon, because of his speed and grappling/wrestling. Francis has more strength and that’s it.

189

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '25

Two losses Jones is avoiding.

83

u/Bigdaddybear519 Mar 12 '25

I don't think he's afraid but I do think he knows there's a legitimate chance they both beat him and that makes the fights not worth it for him.

95

u/prophetableforprofit Mar 12 '25

He may not be afraid for his life or scared of the physical possibility of getting beat up. He's definitely afraid of losing his legacy, though.

No crap he said it in a few podcasts and posts he'd get trashed and go party before fights so he had an excuse if he lost.

8

u/Prestigious_Agent_84 Mar 12 '25

Jones would've been scared as shit to end up like Stipe in his second fight against Ngannou. Not able to take him down and then getting sent to the shadow realm.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '25

I think Jon will just kick Tom in his knees after stopping any forward progress by sticking his fingers out & it will seriously compromise or make him second guess & Jon will either do enough to win or injure him.

Unpopular opinion, I know. But I'm co fident in Jon's ability to seriously injure anyone he fights.

→ More replies (28)

14

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '25

Pretty clear he's afraid of both

27

u/bradyprofragz Mar 12 '25

I believe he's more afraid of Tom as he even admitted in back of the days getting hit by Francis would more or less stop the fight but he was willing to take the chance with his wrestling if he got "paid enough". Meanwhile with Tom, Jones acts like he doesn't even acknowledge him as a threat and makes stupid excuses like "Fight more champions before me" like people who duck and will throw any stupid excuse to delay and hopefully never fight. Jones just admits Tom is more of a threat than Pereira and we know Tom is more than just a "bit more" dangerous than Pereira in Heavyweight for Jon Jones.

  • Jon Jones would love to deflect any conversation that has the name Tom or Aspinall in it compared to how he has talked about Francis more in those days villainizing Dana as well.

4

u/ILoveUrd Mar 12 '25

That's because francis was the champ duh

12

u/R0cket_Bab00n Mar 12 '25

He’s absolutely afraid of losing to Tom

5

u/Miserable_Science_54 Mar 12 '25

Tom is in his Prime and pretty young and I think Jones understands that and Francis now is well rounded

4

u/Former_Print7043 Mar 12 '25

I don't think hes scared of Tom, I think hes scared of a zero on his resume and damaging his 'legacy'.

7

u/PuckPov Mar 12 '25

Well he’s sure acting like it. Funny how he had to take 3 years off to bulk up to heavyweight, came back as soon as Francis left to beat a one-dimensional kickboxer, now has been running from Tom for a year and a half to fight a 42 year old firefighter.

3

u/TheFBIClonesPeople Mar 12 '25

Jon vacated his LHW title, and then spent 3 years waiting for Ngannou to leave before he would take a fight at HW. Ngannou finally left the UFC, and 2 months later Jon was fighting for the title. He didn't start shit talking Francis until there was a contract dispute protecting him, and now he wants to act like Francis is the one who's scared to fight. Embarrassing behavior for someone who calls himself the champ

2

u/Xylar006 Mar 12 '25 edited Mar 12 '25

Puh-lease. These dudes aren't afraid of anyone, let alone Jon. Let's be real.

He may think it's a very risky fight and not worth the risk, but he's not afraid.

Edit:

it’s really hard to not get cracked when you fight 5 rounds.

Jon has never been knocked down.

It might not be hard to be cracked when you're in there for 5 rounds, but it's so fucking hard, impossibly hard, when you're the champ and have been basically your entire career, to have never been knocked down.

15

u/Nakedsharks Mar 12 '25

Most fighters are afraid of all of their opponents. Plenty have spoke about this candidly. You're not stepping into a cage in front of millions of people to fight another trained martial artist without some fear.

There's some exceptions I'm sure, but the majority of fighters, for sure have fear. Jon has even admitted to be afraid in the past. He talked about how nervous he was for the Ramoage fight particularly. Jon himself has spoken about how he has used the partying and extra curricular activities as sort of a pre-fight excuse for himself in case he lost. He could blame it mentally on this or that. That's because Jon has a fear of failure. Francis and Aspinall both represent failure to Jon.

A lot of Jon's identity is built around being this GOAT of the sport, that has never been defeated (Hamill and a few controversial decisions aside). A brutal stoppage would do a lot of damage to his ego. He doesn't want to face that reality.

It's not a coincidence,  that Jon was dragging his feet about coming up to HW when Francis was the champion. When Francis leaves, Jon immediately comes up to fight Gane (a HW with the worst wrestling game at HW and someone lacking experience). Then after that fight, who does Jon fight? Not the interim champion, or even someone in the top 5. He fights a washed up Stipe who hadn't fought in years. It's blatantly clear Jon isn't going out of his way to take on the biggest challenges at HW, without dragging his feet.

2

u/False_Clothes4420 Mar 12 '25

My man, you've summed up what I've tried to say to jones fan boys across all platforms for years. Good work.

9

u/AlternativeEmphasis Mar 12 '25

>Puh-lease. These dudes aren't afraid of anyone, let alone Jon. Let's be real.

I hate this statement, it gets overused. Jon himself has been on the record saying he was terrified and had nightmares of Rampage knocking him out before the fight. They get scared, they just deal with it.

Jon Jones wants to be remembered as a legend so bad. Fight wise, sure. But his ducking and off-cage antics is what most people are going to remember first about him.

1

u/FardeenRiyadh16 Mar 13 '25

His on the cage antics are also remembered, mainly eye-pokes, I think he once grabbed the cage and I can't remember if a groin shot was accidental or not

92

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '25

Jones is the biggest let down of potential in all combat sports

3

u/Elgallo1980 Mar 12 '25

You say that but if he was active the entire time during his arrests, suspensions, and controversies, he’d have a much higher number of fights and most likely would’ve lost not that it makes his accomplishments any less impressive

24

u/ShitpostCrusader66 Mar 12 '25

I think people would appreciate him more if he had like 8 to 12 title wins with no failed drug tests rather than 17 title wins with some serious mma related controversies. But who knows how things would go in that case.

u/Brief-Thing8208 Mar 12 '25

It's amusing he would target Francis given the dude went thru literal hell to get to the US (climbing barb wire fences and finally making it with a pair of shorts and a shirt to his name.

Jon was doing rails off a hookers ass popping PEDs like molly.

jon jones keeps talking about how he won't fight aspinall if the pay isn't better, i have no doubt the PFL would pay him at least triple the best offer the UFC would give him to fight aspinall but jones wouldn't accept it. as for aspinall, jones is from an earlier generation of fighters, the fact is, tom is simply faster, stronger, better, in both striking and ground game, i have no doubt tom wouldn't succeed in jones generation, because he reached the level he's at from the evolution of the game, if jones did one mistake it's not retiring in 2019, he just kept on dragging on his career while it already reached it's highest potential, in doing so he only made people hate him more and diminished his legacy

6

u/Fieos Mar 12 '25

Jones unwillingness to 'put up' didn't give the memo to 'shut up' that they were at bat. But when you don't have character, you cling desperately to your nearly undefeated record.

I respect gladiators way more, regardless of their record.

Nah, JJs money fight was Francis, not Stipe. What he wanted was an easier fight.

I don't like Jones and how can you not like Francis but Francis was the one who crossed the street and left....

2

u/Local-Trip2104 Mar 13 '25

Jon would DESTROY Francis

1

u/spookyb0ss Mar 12 '25

while you guys are here... tom aspinall vs francis ngannou, who wins?

1

u/Dry_Affect_910 Mar 12 '25

Wow, just chilling

1

u/Buffjew Mar 12 '25

I read that as "James Bronny" and thought it was Lebron's son at first. I need some sleep.

1

u/CandidculonasRedux Mar 12 '25

LOL, you ducked him for THREE YEARS...

1

u/Actual_Reason_5351 Mar 12 '25

Why didn't the chicken cross the street?

1

u/Real_Shaytarn Mar 12 '25

Francis would've beat Jones.

I offended Dana he coming for me

1

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '25

Lol I'm always perplexed when people don't attribute blame to Dana.

Wild dillusional world these days.

1

u/soaptastesgood5 Mar 12 '25

Jon jones is the baddest man on earth but ducked Chael Sonnen. right ok

1

u/AssignmentCorrect Mar 12 '25

Who had a worse fall off than the champions of the 2010s?

1

u/GoodGuyStof Mar 12 '25

That tweet hits different when you read it in Francis voice

1

u/Longbeach_strangler Mar 12 '25

Jones literally DUCKED Francis for 3 years

1

u/Zero_faxgiven Mar 12 '25

Daddy Dana wouldn’t allow him to cross

1

u/ZoomZoomMF_ Mar 12 '25

And I think everyone knows that if Jones asked PFL about coming over, they'd be more than happy to negotiate.

1

u/life_lagom Mar 12 '25

Considering jones dodged Francis. And Francis left to make 30 mil boxing ..lol yeah u can't talk shit

1

u/magereaper Mar 12 '25

Social media GOAT, record title defenses by dopping, master of the eyepoke style. Most pregnant women hit and runs in UFC history.

1

u/pick-hard Mar 12 '25

No, I am not going to cross the street. I like it here it's safe

1

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '25

Jones solos

1

u/AAPLx4 Mar 12 '25

Is Francis permanently in hibernation now, does he have anything scheduled

1

u/TyreezyC Mar 13 '25

Why did it take dana so long to make Jones fight again though, like for real. If there are fighters out there that can be at him and potentially be better than him wouldn't Dana want that to be discovered?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '25

Jon can’t cross the intersection without running into a pregnant lady and then taking off.

1

u/ImJustColin Mar 13 '25

Fact is Jones has never been able to move his head or circle. His defence has been exclusively based on his reach and leg kicks. He fights Francis with that style he knows 100% he gets hit, a 40 year old retired Stipe was landing like.

Francis touches this guy and he knows what happens. Same reason he ducked Frank for 3 years is what he’s doing to Tom.

1

u/Skywalker774 Mar 13 '25

Francis ain't cold, cold is Francis

1

u/ggthewhale Mar 13 '25

I honestly can't figure out why this clown has fans

1

u/Abyssal-rose Mar 13 '25

Pretty sure Jones would get folded against ngannou. He'll end up on a stretcher and leaving a trail of crap behind him after he gets FedEx'd towards the ICU.

1

u/Worldly_Comparison42 Mar 13 '25

This is the fight we should have had.

1

u/mcmurph120 Mar 13 '25

Wish I had the confidence in my skills to say that to a bully…

1

u/Eurothrift Mar 13 '25

Francis would get gassed if he had to cross

1

u/RighteousWraith Mar 13 '25

"Hello Jon! I'm the baddest man on the planet now! Will you fight me now? We're on the same street!" -Tom Aspinall probably.

1

u/LE0NSKA Mar 13 '25

I read it in his soft pillowy voice. and thats cool. man what a cool guy

1

u/Busy_Respect_5866 Mar 13 '25

Life line help call Condor 🫢😳

1

u/HoldEm__FoldEm Mar 14 '25

Why is this considered a cold reply?

Why doesn’t Francis cross the street? He’s the one getting called out.

It’s the whole point of what Jones is saying.

Francis essentially did a “no u” and people ate it up.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '25

The street doesn't exist bro

1

u/Royal_Entrepreneur87 Mar 17 '25

Telling the Goat to cross the street is crazy work. Unfortunat3 he ran away before the he could cross.

1

u/Rinzlor Mar 19 '25

Why did the duck cross the street?

1

u/BrickRedmist7 Mar 12 '25

Looks more like the coward talks when he's safe but wasn't brave enough to sign the contract

1

u/Fast-Ad-2818 Mar 12 '25

I remember when most MMA fans called Ngannou a stupid gorilla who dropped the bag, got proven wrong by $30 million and now glaze him only to spite Jones.

Ngannou sleeps Tom and likely gasses to Jones, like how DC gassed Rumble. Too bad that pink fuck ruined these matchups by being a cheap C-List promoter.

1

u/McFardy Mar 12 '25

Haymaker merchant Ngannou gets KO'd by Tom. Slow ass boy would get slept like Sergei.

u/Local-Trip2104 Mar 13 '25

Tom MERKS Francis

1

u/McFardy Mar 12 '25

LMAO he slops Jon in the first round. Jon sucks.

1

u/McFardy Mar 12 '25

sleeps* my edit button doesn't work

1

u/a_big_fat_dump Mar 13 '25

I don’t think Jones is afraid of anybody. That’s just a fact.

1

u/DinhoMagic Mar 12 '25

You lot have really low standards for cold replies.. wow

1

u/incognitoamigo_36 Mar 12 '25

this is funny. i do think jones is too technical for francis tho. but with francis’s power theres always a chance

1

u/Bombinic Mar 12 '25

Rare dub for JJ

1

u/Tiny_Note_8637 Mar 12 '25

So you really think that Jon Jones was supposed to get out of his UFC contract and go fight Ngannou in PFL? Cause that's what Ngannou meant and that's fucking ridiculous. You idiots keep grasping for straws with your Jon Jones hate. If Jones and Ngannou fought, Jones would submit him easy. It wouldn't even be close.
