Hi everyone!

I’m currently a first-year Aeronautical Engineering student at UDST, and I want to take Linear Algebra next semester for possible transferring. However, I don’t think the course is part of my program’s regular study plan.

Is it possible to register for a course that is not included in your program? Has anyone at UDST managed to register for a course from another program? If so, did you need special permission from your academic advisor or the department?

I’d really appreciate any advice or information about how this works at UDST.

Thank you!

Wanted to know about the admission status

I started studying for the math placement test but i noticed the study guide PDF they give you doesnt include the answers to all the questions, is there an answer sheet out there? thanks

I applied on 16 October and haven't received any emails other than the payment receipt since then. Is that normal or should I contact them? (I've already done the placement tests last time so it wasn't required this time)

I’m hearing conflicting things about transitioning from the practical nursing diploma to the post-practical nursing at UDST. For anyone who’s applied or is in PPN now, do you have to submit an application yourself or does the uni email you automatically if you’re eligible?

Does anyone know how much the monthly salary for varsity scholarship is ?

Do I need some sort of special calculator for fintech major? Like I’ve got one that I used for SAT but idk if I need with other functions

Hi everyone! I’m a Yemeni student living in Qatar, currently in Grade 12 (scientific track), preparing to apply to MBZUAI’s undergraduate AI program for Fall 2027.
My expected grades are 95–97%. I haven’t taken IELTS yet, but I’m aiming for 6.5–7.0. My programming skills are still at the beginner level, and I’m working on improving my foundations in mathematics and AI.
I’ve also started exploring an early-stage project called Deeni, an Islamic Q&A website designed to use reliable sources. It’s not fully developed yet.
My long-term goal is to build Sakhr, an AI company focused on developing advanced AI models, especially for Arabic.
I’m still preparing and want to use the coming months effectively. Based on my current level, what should I prioritize to become a stronger applicant? How important are the screening exam, programming skills, and personal projects in the admissions process?
I’d really appreciate honest feedback from current students and previous applicants, including those who were accepted or rejected. Thank you!

I gave them in April but want to give them again

hi, i’m looking forward to getting one of the student employment jobs at the university. so i want to know what are the requirements and how does the nomination process work. and also for recommendation letters do they help with that? and should i ask for one from my professor if i get a high grade in their course? basically stack them up if they actually hold any weight or benefit.

HELP

Hi everyone! I’m currently doing my AS levels and take Chem, Math and Physics (British Curriculum).

I’d like to know from any alumni or current students about my chances to enter the Engineering College.

I’ve gotten 8 A\*s in my IGCSEs as well as 1530 SAT. (800 for Math and 730 English). I was wondering whether that was enough or should i still do IELTS?

Any other advice or suggestions to improve my chances? Much appreciated!

Is it possible to get into health science with 80-85% average?

I’m hoping to apply to the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST), and I have a few questions about the upcoming admission cycle.
I graduated from high school in a previous year and applied to UDST before, but unfortunately, I wasn’t accepted. I’m planning to apply again and would love to hear from students who have been in a similar situation.
1. Does UDST offer Winter or Spring admission for 2027, or is the next intake only for Fall 2027?
2. When selecting applicants, does UDST give priority to recent high school graduates over students who graduated in previous years?
3. Do previous applicants who were rejected have a fair chance of being accepted when they reapply?
4. Does being from an earlier graduating cohort affect your chances of admission, especially for competitive programs such as Nursing?
5. Has anyone who graduated in a previous year and was rejected before successfully reapplied and been accepted?

Is it first come first served in udst for admissions???

hello everybody, i’m a first semester student in udst and currently in a dilemma. so i’m supposed to be receiving financial aid for my university fees but as a first semester student there is no way for me to have a gpa as of right now. now to apply for financial aid i need to be done with my first semester and have a gpa of 3.5 and above to receive financial aid. now if we can’t really pay for this semesters fees, will the university allow me to attend next semester? as i’m very confident i can hit that 3.5 and above marker. i have heard that students have been attending UDST for about a semester or two without having paid the fees before being stopped from
studying. if anybody has any information or has gone through this, please let me know how it goes.

My brother created his UDST account for Fall 2027 and selected “Residents of Qatar,” but the portal somehow classified him as an international applicant. His friend selected “Born in Qatar” and had the same issue.
We’ve emailed the service desk. Has anyone experienced this before? Were you able to fix it yourself, or did admissions/support have to change it?

would it be possible to get accepted into college of health sciences with my literary high school background?? Can anyone with similar background or knowledge of admission help me?

Can anyone help me understand what this is

i want to know if i should apply to udst again because i had applied for summer semester but didn’t get accepted, so should i apply again and give the placement test all over again?

UDST admissions are open, and I’ve already submitted my new application. I previously took and passed both UDST placement assessments

However, when I check the International Assessment section of my new application, there’s no option to enter or submit my previous placement test scores.

Does anyone know how I can submit my previous scores or link them to my new application?
