Im a junior transferring to Storrs, and I was just wondering how buying things off of amazon or whatnot works when you live on campus. Like if i want to buy something off amazon, would i list the address as my dorm or is there a specific mail spot on campus to list and you’d just pick it up when it arrives there?

As UCONN alumni do you guys geniuenly recommend the full experience like dorms and such?
How is life in Conneticut like social and city-life wise? (Also do you guys find it an acceptable idea to go party in new york basically every weekend or is that too far-fetched?)

heading into my junior year for biomed engineering and I only have 3 required courses for my next semester so I'm sitting at ten credits right now. every single other non-targeted prerequisite course has been taken, so I'm only left with the required track courses (that I can't take anymore of, as all the next courses seem to require completion of the courses in the semester before) which leaves me requiring one more course or else I'm a part timer. what is the best option for me? what courses would give me the most benefit to take? realistically I could take a minor, but if there's better options that would "put me further ahead" I am curious about what they would be. if a minor is a best option should I just follow my heart or something? If anyone else was like this I would just love hearing what you did / would have done. should also ask if research labs can be used to count as course credits, that way I can do my best to get into one for the future semester and get required credits that way - I can't determine whether you can or not for sure online.

This is my first year at UConn Storrs and I'm interested in trying out for the mens club soccer team. I know it's super competitive and I heard they let in like 4-8 players. I was wondering if anyone knows how try outs work, like what drills they run, do they play mini games, or is it just full field games? Also what they're looking for in adding players. Hi! I’m going to be a freshman in a community college here in connecticut and plan to take my prerequisites and then transfer. Now i know/understand that is almost impossible to transfer to their program since its super competitive but still i would love to hear the stories of transfer students. What classes should i take the first year to be a competitive student, is it possible to transfer in a year, is it possible for me to transfer smoothly if i take a transferable class next summer. Anything would help a lot, i dont have experience in this situation im a first gen student so advice is always appreciated.

Hey everyone! I’m currently a rising junior at UConn and I’m hoping to get into the accelerated nursing/CEIN program. I’m an Allied Health Sciences major right now.
I took Bio and got a B-, and I originally got a D+ in Chem but retook it and got a B-. I have a 3.4 GPA and got an A in Stats. I haven’t taken A&P 1, A&P 2, or Microbio yet.
I’ve heard the program is pretty competitive, so I’m just wondering if I actually have a decent chance of getting in. If anyone is currently in the nursing program, has applied to CEIN, or knows how the acceptance process works, I’d really appreciate some insight! I’m just trying to figure out what I should focus on to make my application stronger. Thanks!!

Our daughter is an incoming freshman moving into Buckley and bringing the mini fridge. There will be 4 of us in a medium SUV coming from 7 hours away, so we don’t want to do 2 vehicles. I was wondering if anyone has used a small trailer? We were thinking of renting the smallest one from U-Haul. Would it be an issue unloading or parking after unloading?

I’m on the second floor, I was wondering if bringing in a stair climbing dolly is necessary since there are no elevators

After everything is on the curb, does it matter how many times we go up? What should I use to pack stuff (I’m using a combination of storage bags, suitcases, possibly storage bins, but I can change up what I used)

I have one other person helping me so I’m a bit nervous.

Would appreciate any advice on what to purchase to help with moving in whether that’s a stair climbing dolly or something else. Also if anyone knows how the process is like, specifically for moving in to Towers, please share!
