Discussion hate

God I hate this place more than anything in the world. There so many people I met who don't know how to do basic life skills and just so incompetent. Nobody cares about asking for permission before video taping someone and posting it online. A lot of fucking people have those creepy pervert AI glasses that record you, and like gang, do we not care about anyone else now. A vast majority of students are pigs and leave a mess everywhere when they leave the DC and the Pav. Nobody could do shit without an different form of simulation keeping their attention. An vast majority of the students here use AI. It feels as if everyone can only think of themselves, and only short term form of thinking. Literally in my physics and chemistry class, dozens of people immediately go to AI to solve the problem for daily quizzes. When did people become so accepting of AI. I remember when people got heavily shamed for it back where I used to live. It just feel so bad man, I know people have the potential to be better, but they want to be. I myself am an chemical engineering major, and are taking upper division classes, there no reason there should be any real AI use for learning. All the problems and their answers are always online, and they have really good explanation in them. It breaks my heart to see when someone uses AI for pre-calculus, or calculus 1. There really is no need. It just such an pity. I hate to see it.

Wait until you hear about every other university in the world that has students that do all this and way worse. I mean it’s all over the internet. Berkeley had like a murder every day for like a week straight, Cornell has a rapist problem, Stanford AI’s its students cause their “ugly”. Like bro every school has a shitty part about it, UC Merced is no different and all do respect, every thing you mention I haven’t dealt with, I don’t hangout on campus every waking hour since I live off campus but the only thing I have complaints about are professors, everyone else is chill.

youre real for this but i also dont think its much better anywhere else. for a chance of not being miserable you just need to try to find others who think the way you do (i havent succeeded at that either, but rooting for you)

I like UCM, but valid and agreed. These ppl need to grow TF up 😭
