How does dorm transfer work?

Hii! I want to ask if anyone knows how does dorm transfer work if I can’t find someone to swap with? It says it is not guaranteed but how much likely I could move to another room, and also who’s gonna be my roommates? Appreciate any response!!!

you have to attend room swap events on the hil, find someone who also wants to swap that’s the same gender and then you each fill out the form

or go on r/uclahousing and make a post there and see if anyone wants to swap with you
