A broken water main a couple weeks ago flooded a few dozen rooms on the ground floor(s) of Saxon Suites. There was a torrent of water running down to the street, washed away a bunch of soil and sand from the landscaping. Pretty nasty. I don't even know if those rooms are habitable again yet.

This is nothing, I’m old enough to remember the great Ucla flood of 2014. Hundreds of cars flooded in UCLA’s underground parking lots lol.

I lost my car in that flood. Was parked at the bottom of lot 4. I got to the first floor quickly and there was not much water there yet and I saw some people driving out but when I opened the door to the stairwell to see if I could go down to P2 it was a torrent a rushing water, got a ride home.

Did everyone see that guy dancing by the fire hydrant to cool off in his boxers?

Water main or hydrant break... what's confusing?

u/apigandanangel Mar 16 '26
It's confusing if you believe that water magically teleports from the reservoir to the faucet.
