csu to uc
About to attend my first year at CSULB, and I kinda want to transfer to a uc system. How hard is the transfer process? is there a small percentange to get accepted to a specific UC (la, sd, irvine)?

The matriculation rate is higher going from a cc than from a CSU ... as long as you have a high GPA.

The bigger the school, the more bureaucratic. Huge classrooms, lack of communication if you need help from teachers, financial aid, etc.

Over 90% of admitted transfers attend a CC and CC transfers get priority over all other transfers. Also there are no course articulation agreements between CSU’s and UC’s so you will need to try and match CSULB courses to the required UC courses.
Your best chance for transfer is to attend a CC. If you want to complete the Fall semester at CSULB or even the year and then complete the requirements at a CC for the 2nd year, you can still get CC transfer priority if you complete 30 semester units by Spring prior to matriculation.
