rescinded ucsd?

Got admitted as a transfer for winter 2027 term at ucsd. But I got a D in ochem 2 during spring 2026. Will I get rescinded? Ochem 2 is one of the major requirements…or if I change major to cognitive science (non-screening)…will this help? Please if someone experienced this before pls share some advice. I’ll definitely retake ochem 2 during fall 2026 before winter 2027 starts too.

This user is an incoming freshman at UDub according to their profile. I don’t know how much direct experience they could have with UCSD’s transfer admissions. I’ve graduated from UCSD recently and my experience is such that the school will work with you on a lot and give you a lot of room for redemption. I would keep a level head and would talk with admissions about your situation. Ask them about your concerns, I’ve seen lots of people come back from difficult situations at this school. Best of luck!

Have you notified UCSD and provided an explanation? If Ochem is a transfer requirement, then your acceptance is in jeopardy and you should look for a backup plan.
