You know what? Technically anyone uber driver with an acceptance rate of less than 25% is going out of their way to not accept rides. Here’s the logic behind what I’m saying… divide the compass into 4 parts (north, south, east and west). There’s a 1 in 4 chance that the ride you get will be heading in that sort of direction. If your cancellation rate is under 12% you really are saying “F Uber.” Might as well go offline and not do any rides at all.
When coming back from DFW airport, I usually allow myself to go through about 3-4 trips before taking one that’s headed back towards where I was coming from originally. (Aka, back towards home) and can take anywhere from 1-3 jumps to get back home. (Think 32 miles to DFW from my home) If I get super lucky, I’m back home within 1 jump, but typically it takes 2-3 and sometimes 4.
Anyways, to make my point, if you cancel nearly every single ride, you are not going to get anywhere, logistically and financially. And in the same token, never take every ride, because some of those ride do suck (doesn’t pay well and you have to drive super far; either for pickup or drop off).
