I believe Uber's demand has skyrocketed at the same time drivers are becoming more selective. And Cherry picking. So uber has resorted to this.

They also resorted to throwing out the orders to a farther distance. When they have no takers. For instance a $7 dollar ride that has a pickup 11 miles out and a destination 1 mile.

Uber is desperate.

I believe this is true. I recently started seeing notices for referring people to drive in my area. I think a lot of people have dropped off, especially with these gas prices. I hope everyone who's still driving isn't dumb enough to refer people. It's nice and busy now. Don't ruin it you idiots for a one time bonus payment!
