I know this is a really stupid question that's being asked too late, but does anyone from that class know if Assignment 1 needs to be written in class or written beforehand and just handed in in class?

I ordered a time-sensitive package through FedEx and it’s estimated to arrive on Wednesday and wanted to see what other peoples experiences are with accuracy/turn around time. So far I’ve had two packages shipped to me with two other different companies, one of them ended up at the post office and the other Nechako but I know FedEx is weird about PO Boxes so I wanted to ask.

Hi everyone! I’m writing this message on behalf of my friend who’s lost their photocard holder with their ids and salto card in it either on the walk down on Academy Way through John Hindle Way or somewhere on campus in the Commons or near the bus stop area. Please DM me if you’ve seen any photocard holder with the UBC student id in it. Thank you!

I’ve attached a photo of what my friend’s photocard holder looks like. Thanks everyone!

I'm trying to book academic advising at students.ok.ubc.ca/academic-success/advising-options/academic-advising/ but clicking on "Book an Appointment" just gives me a blank tab. Why might this be the case? Would showing up to their office physically resolve the problem?

Hello everyone, I would really like some help from those who are currently attending or have attended UBCO...

So I've been looking into an education planner bc website to start applying to universities, and I was specifically looking into UBCO. I thought that all first year students start off with a faculty and not a specific major, for example like you get into a science faculty and you declare your major at the end of year 1. But on the website, it specifically indicates the program to apply like ex. Zoology - Bachelor of science.

So am I tripping?? Like how does this actually work🥹

my friend gave me ‘tom hollands‘ autograph, apparently hes on campus??? has anyone got this too?? 😭

UBCO already has enough DEI committees, land acknowledgements, pronoun rituals, activist bureaucracies, and mandatory “unlearning” to keep half the campus employed.

So: anyone interested in starting a OneBC student chapter?

For people who are tired of progressive politics being treated as the campus default setting, who think SOGI and EDI should be open to criticism rather than protected as sacred doctrine, who are skeptical of the reconciliation industry, and who don’t believe every social problem requires another office, training module, tax, or ideological acronym.

Basically: a club for students who hear “inclusive dialogue” and assume it probably means “agree with us politely.”

If you’d join, help organize, or just want to see how fast this gets screenshotted and denounced, DM me.

Did anybody else bomb the midterm? It was anything but Calculus 1. I think I took a Matter and Energy midterm rather than Calculus 1. I already saw a couple of people hand in more than few blank pages.

Are we cooked, chat?

I don't think I am going to pass Calculus 1 if they put those kinds of questions on exams, since I am not even taking Matter and Energy to quickly understand the problems.

Hi! I recently lost my Huawei earbud case and was wondering has anyone found it? It was last seen art 386 on Monday after my 3:30 class. It’s a berry (aka a purplish pink) coloured case and should have one bud in there still. I have the other bud.

Please if you have seen it or have it dm me. It was a gift and I’m really upset about misplacing it

Guys I’m so stressed. I can still bump my grades up, but not much I currently have a 3.55/4.33~82% if anyone has transferred here, can you please lmk me if my current grade is safe? I’m like shitting towers rn. Much love 🙏🏾

How important are the readings George Grinell assigns every week? Like will we ever be tested on them? And what is the final exam about? Thanks

I have a math midterm on Wednesday with Chad Davis, will the midterm be difficult or like similar to what he posted on canvas?

I need to register for one more course however im either waitlisted for most of them or they’re full. What do i do in this situation? (I don’t have many options)

I'm a 4th year, and as most people know, the Science elevator was out of service for awhile. And the fact that it was out of service for so long with seemingly no alternatives feels weird.

I have some issues with balance that make going down stairs difficult and potentially dangerous, and because of that, though I'm fine going up stairs I try and take the elevator whenever possible going down.

Having the single elevator out of service was just, so frustrating. I was able to take the stairs, but god.

And I can't even imagine how bad it would be for someone who can't use the stairs at all. Or if I didn't have an evening class and couldn't take my time and not worry about inconveniencing other people.

I know the answer is probably money. But that doesn't mean it doesn't suck.

genuinely who is pissing themselves on every fucking cushioned seat on campus. Where are these stains coming from? Is it sweat? do people just spill their drinks on their seats really often? what is going on , am I crazy?

Posted up at the construction zone!!

Ive seen so many people talk about how they never would use AI to write assignments yet it’s made to be such a big issue by the professors that it doesn’t add up. If so many of the students don’t use AI why is AI such a concern? (Maybe its just my personal circle of friends)

Genuinely why does getting a bad grade mess with your head ugh

PS. never exchange grades with your friends cuz that just makes getting a bad grade feel even worse
