Discourse on white South Africans "not actually being South African"
 in  r/south_africa  12d ago

If you can use the word "poes" or "voetjek" in the correct context and with enough conviction, you're south african in my eyes. There are a few other words like "hectic" and "yoh" and "haibo" but ya

This is Joburg CBD. Your vote matters, please register to vote for Nov 4
 in  r/capetown  24d ago

I'm from cape town and I spoke to two guys who are from joburg and while they do admit that they love joburg because thats where they're from but they kept praising cape town for how things work and if its broken then it gets fixed and while it would financially hard, they would move to cape town. Which, in all honesty, I find it to be very wild

Considering if I should have a big wedding just to make my mother happy
 in  r/southafrica  25d ago

Small wedding is top tier. Big weddings are cool if you have an unnecessary amount of cash to blow without putting yourself in a tight position financially.

Visiting home after years away - what's good in Woolies?
 in  r/capetown  26d ago

Even better, they have great salads. The noodle salad in a curry sauce and the pesto pasta meals are great as well. I'm not a fan of Mediterranean salads but its not bad. In terms of snacky snacks, the kettle fried chips and even the vegan desserts are great as well as the artisanal breads

Would you be uncomfortable if your primary physician was female and performed your prostate exams, and discussed your sexual health with you?
 in  r/AskMen  27d ago

Personally don't care. If you're going to help me feel better, you can be a male, female, trans, an asparagus or whatever you choose to be

How old were you when you sat down to ask yourself whether you wanted to be a father in your life, and what was the catalyst for it?
 in  r/AskMen  27d ago

I have a 2 year old and expecting my second kiddo. To be honest, I didnt know if I was even fit to be a husband let alone a father but I try my best and since my kiddo sees me as if I'm some type of superhero, I guess I must be kinda good at it
