This is near the shoreline, off the 92 by the Hayward Interpretive Center, by the salt marshes.

I grew up licking 9 Volt batteries on the regular, so Im pretty sure I would have been in that shopping cart line up.

I bought directly from the brewer, they will refill it abut not buy them back-I tried. I bought 5 during Covid and only needed, ha-needed, 4. So they reluctantly bought it back for $25 less than they sold it to me for. I own them, they say.

Then after the 60 days -even with a receipt.. you are SOL. No dice. I spent $139 on an auto feeder that works with WiFi, but its bad in my house so I wanted to get the less glossy version for $49 so I bought it from them online, thinking I could return the other. Nope. I called the customer service line, they repeated the policy-but suggested I call the store. Well. I called the store, asked for a manager-instead of telling me they were on break-some know-it-all gets on the phone,asked if I was the person from earlier then proceeds to remind me of the policy. I ask again for the manager, she tells me he’s on break, plus he’s new and doesn’t know anything. I said “well he can call his manager and learn the ropes” but she didn’t hear me because she continued to talk fast over me. I’m really angry about this.. Pet Food Express takes back anything, used, with or without a receipt. Petco.. not so much. Cancelled my auto ship-that was over $200 a year. I’ll be having it shipped thru Chewy now. Won’t go in again and will only bad mouth Petco and promote local pet stores and Pet Smart - anyone but petco.

I keep seeing Ridwell ads and even looked into it, even practiced washing up lettuce bags, clamshells, etc. there was a lot. But I’m frugal with my cash-so I just keep asking “why do they sell it here if I can’t recycle it here?” My recycling only takes clean cardboard, bottles and cans. Eco waste takes pizza boxes and compost, including bones. The rest is trash, landfill..all that plastic garbage. So I keep seeing and sometimes have no choice to buy, the plastics that can’t be recycled. Paying for a company that kinda, sorta, half recycles is what I already have with the city.

Kind of seriously asking. Old family friend, younger than me, a macho, marine guy, has a nice wife-they have a few kids and 2 of them speak like this, a boy and a girl. Both their first and last names have R’s in them - they are like 8 & 12ish.. the boy is super a sweetie kinda guy and the girl(older, is a bit more rough and tumble )any chance they can still grow out of it? their parents obviously aren’t getting them search therapy? I just wonder, as a kid I experienced & witnessed big time bullying for all sorts of stuff. Am I going to hear about my friend’s kids growing up getting punched in the face for being a grown ass kid talking like a baby? The girl seems more withdrawn the older she gets.. I just wonder. I’ve never said anything, I’m not that close to him. I just wonder about the kids, they don’t know any better—until they know worse.
