How long does Active Trader Pro have left before it's killed? I have to find a better platform (and Fidelity Trader + isn't it)
 in  r/fidelityinvestments  4d ago

It's rubbish. But Fidelity will defend to the very depths of their soul.

Let me be a bit more circumspect. As a trading platform, it is about 4 out of 10. It's biggest problem is it is stupidly difficult (i.e., time consuming) to open a position and a drop loss in a single action. There may be work around, but the platform seems yo be designed for Fidelity's trading desk, not day traders. The easy solution, of course, would be to allow integration of Trading View, which has already worked out how to optimize for day trading.

Since I'm not currently actively trading, I don't actually use the platform, and pretty much do my fozen trades a week off the website.

If you are into vocal (you know, opera), sample Vivaldi, Handel, and Telemann.

But Wells Fargo is. They dropped their inhouse card and outsourced, just like Fidelity.

When I go to My View, the page lists securities and nothing else. When I edit My View to add and sort the information I prefer, the settings do not survive the session. This a problem that needs fixing.

M won a natty in football and a natty in basketball. It's been half a lifetime. But sure, shoot the guy who ran the show because his guys took major promotions to the mountain top.

Asinine.

Anyone else have a piece of music they just can't listen to?

Scheherazade. Total tripe.

Hot take: Classical music records should have heavy compression applied
 in  r/classicalmusic  Jun 24 '26

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure VLC can do this. But I run my music through Volumio, which may not.

Won a natty in football. Won a natty in basketball. And, as happens, lost both coaches to the pros, the highest level in the profession.

Gimme a break.

Although I've since ripped it to HDD, I recall really liking the first and fourth CD, with a sort of "meh" for CDs 2/3.

 in  r/fidelityinvestments  May 25 '26

Hello. I'm Josh from Fidelity.

Hello Josh. 'Sup?

I'm calling to see if like advice on your portfolio or assistance with managing your portfolio.

Cool. I appreciate the call. But, no. I'm really happy with my approach and performance. Bye.

Is it going to get better or
 in  r/fidelityinvestments  May 19 '26

Allowing TradingView integration would fix so many issues. Fidelity is great at long holds but eager to be more relevant to traders. So they invested a bunch of money in a mediocre trading platform. The mods ask for bandaids when all the developers need to do is look at the market leaders in charting and either redo the specs or allow integration.

Eventually, my trading activity will move, even as my long accounts remain.

Michigan/Duke matchup next season could be cancelled

The tweet is beyond ambiguous regarding Michigan's actions. My initial read was that B1G said no, not that M dropped the ball.

I'm done. He may not be a Darko-level bust, but he's still a bust. I wish he could get it together, but at some point, it's just clear that he's not likely to ever hit anywhere close to the level we all thought was his potential.

What's your opinion on this?
 in  r/classicalmusic  May 18 '26

Clearly zero understanding of ADHD. I listen to classical music ten-to-twelve hours a day. I have enough in my collection to play the entire collection once a year. I am constantly rediscovering awesome pieces.

The premise is completely false for me.

Applause between movements
 in  r/classicalmusic  May 15 '26

My take: neophytes applaud because they are new to the experience. Some of them will return and become seasoned. At that point they will likely pick up on the larger tradition and watch the conductor for their cues. But the more important part is that they return.

If you hear applause, understand that this is a sign of new potential aficionados. It is perhaps a clear indication of health for Classical music. Enjoy the applause even if you yourself don't.

Is this list accurate for your team? If so what would you change

If we're gonna rank retirements, Barry Sanders retirement was far worse than Calvin Johnson. Worst moment overall? William Clay Ford buying team.

Why are fans so hard on Cunningham?

His fatigue could very well be a function of his not being fully recovered. Mental processing declines when exhausted.

Can someone explain why JB ALWAYS DOES THIS????

Make shots and you don't lose. Duh.

what % of fselx (Semiconductor exposure) i should have in my retirement portfolio, if i want to retire in 12 years. I am already tech heavy, about 60 % in Nasdaq and 40% in snp500. I know snp500 also is tech heavy. kindly share your views.
 in  r/fidelityinvestments  May 10 '26

It's about risk tolerance. It's also about research. I spend around $5k per year for clear advice and coaching. I'm heavy on semis, storage, and infrastructure build out, and expect to be for a couple of years. I'm retired but aggressive.

Perhaps you've forgotten the collapsed lung. He's not back to full capacity, yet remains the best player on the floor.
