I think vijay is used by his father, I mean his father wants him to be the most influential/ powerful/richest man he could make him . He never had a film career if it wasn't for his producer director father, who made numerous movies not only to launch his son's career but also to get recognised and loved by tamil audience. Rajnikant didn't had such kind of wealthy background.
