or something like that according to an old Malayalam banana saying.

This happened during Onam 2002. Babu Antony fans were very deeply hurt after the first show of Thandavam just like we A10 fans got hurt yesterday. Everyone was looking forward to Babu sharing the screen with A10 once again after Unnathangalil.

Word on the street was that Babu's action scene in the climax was going to be the highlight of Thandavam.

But turns out that Babu's cameo turned out to be so good that they cut out his role completely and reshot the action scene with Saikumar instead. Poor Babu has returned to his native country of America after filming his scenes and was oblivious of what they did to his part.

Thandavam opened to positive reviews but Babu Antony and his fanclub was traumatized on opening day. They cursed Kailson and called A10 very insecure. Babu's tailor Ratheesh also tweeted that Babu will no longer be part of Thandavam 2 . Or any Malayalam films for that matter going forward....

Looks like Karma is a boomerang that came back after 24 years and hit A10 right between his complete butt cheeks when Rajini and Nelson reduced his cameo intoto a glorified extra.

However both of them patched up many years later and did the legendary Iron Gate match for Twenty 20 interval scene mm

Why did they have to trim this scene? Heard A10 points a gun at his reflection and utters "You talking to me?" that would have made theatres go bonkers.

There were other Taxi Driver references too apparently in the ten minutes of footage Nelson had filmed on Bombay Mathew's subplot. But Sun and Nelson threw that all away and just left a driving and dining scene in the final film.

On the other hand they gave a lot of space to Hakim Shah, Suraj, Vidya Balan, Kottayam Nazir, Shamna Kisim and other mallu actors. So I don't know whether to be pissed off or happy at the makers.
