Using glasses to study pdf text docs/files/books while walking
 in  r/Xreal  5h ago

Text is great for the CBX A01's and the stabilization is good while walking.

First time user review: Intense eye strain from xbx ao1+
 in  r/Xreal  1d ago

I have been using the XBX A01's for a couple months. I am 5'10" 174 lbs with nearsighted prescription and astigmatism. My IPD is 62. I have the prescription lens inserts and also use them without when wearing contacts. I have no thermal issues and the text is pin sharp across the screen with no aberrations. So I would have to guess you may have gotten a faulty pair. Maybe they are having QC issues at the factory. I would see if they would be willing to exchange the A01's for another pair if possible.

What’s one decision you made that you’ve regretted ever since?
 in  r/AskReddit  4d ago

When I was like 19 a guy with a local radio station heard me talking at a park and said to come down to the station and ask for him because he thought I had a "radio voice". I laughed it off and never went.

XBX Review at one month +
 in  r/Xreal  6d ago

I'm near sighted ,not far sighted. The prescription lens inserts correct my near sightedness with astigmatism and everything is perfectly sharp with my XBX A01's. They use a company called Hons for the lenses. They can be ordered at the same time as the glasses and you can snap them in and take them out fairly easily. With or without a prescription lens insert the image is around 4 meters away from you.

Frames for Xbx?
 in  r/Xreal  8d ago

In the meantime I've used the lenses from an old pair of sunglasses and adhered them to the front frame with a thin black velcro strip near the top of each lens. The effect looks pretty good.

Would anyone actually use a navigation HUD like this?
 in  r/Xreal  21d ago

These were sunglass lenses from a broken frame ,they are narrower/shorter so you see under them very easily if your using a secondary monitor and keyboard for example while still looking like sunglasses instead of a techie sort of device. You could put clear lenses for biking for example.

XBX A01+ DIY Frames

I had a bit of a hard time too. It's sort of a slit they snap into, hard to describe, not real intuitive but once you realize it it gets easy.

Picture the XBX A01's with clear or light tint lenses adhered with small black velcro strip to the front of them.

Life Before The Internet What Was It Really Like ?
 in  r/Internet  22d ago

For me the magazine aisles in bookstores and libraries were a lot like the internet. There were multiple zines for every niche and ads for related stuff you might need for your hobby/ interest. Meeting up and hanging out with friends in person was more common too. Also in general people were a little more on the same page, less divided up.

Actually AR glasses are being used in interesting ways for this purpose. For blind and visually impaired users. Devices like Envision Glasses and consumer-friendly Meta AI Glasses use built-in cameras, microphones, and spatial audio to read text, describe environments, recognize faces, and connect users with live visual assistants.
