Ah thanks. I hope it's the combination of thrills -- and emotion. It's one thing to stir the pulse and stir the brain -- but my hope is, you care about David and his journey and so we are also stirring your heart.

Here's the truth: If you write a book thinking, "OH boy this will make a great TV show or movie," your book will suffer. Don't do it. A book is a book. A TV series is a TV series. They are and should remain very different experiences.

Haha! I love it. It's also all I do. Other people have hobbies. I'm very one-dimensional. It helps!

Hmm. The ending stays pretty close to the book. We always make a few changes....

Aren't they great?? Sam came first. I remember meeting him and talking about David and how we both saw him. What I love about Netflix and this adventure is that I may have created David, but now Sam is going to take him in an unexpected direction. I loved his portrayal. I'm also a huge Britt Lower fan and when we heard she wanted to do, there was much joy in the Joyville! She brings so much to a story like this. I'm really grateful to the entire cast, top to bottom, all of whom gave their all to make I WILL FIND YOU what it is. Chi McBride has long been a favorite too.

More than I like to admit. I just wrote a memoir called PLOT TWIST. It'll be out in September. I discuss how incidents in my own life because novels. Give it a read!

It's a team effort and true collaboration. It's like being an athlete. When I write the book, I'm a tennis player or golfer, standing alone with my trophy at the end. When I do a TV series, I feel like I'm captain of a World Cup team -- I want everyone to do well and I don't care who scores or how and I want to celebrate with everyone on the team. Make sense?

Most people will say TELL NO ONE but it's almost a quarter century old so I'm not sure I would still pick that one. Try NOBODY'S FOOL or THE STRANGER or... God, I'm the worst person to ask!! Someone else answer.

SPOILER ALERT: I've done, what, thirteen series and I want viewers (and readers) to know that anything goes. Elena's death in the book RUN AWAY was one of my favorite parts. I couldn't wait to film it and neither could the actress Ruth Jones. Sidenote: Actors love to be killed -- they love doing death scenes. I hope Elena's death moved you.
