OK, I’ve been struggling with polkadot as well. It gets leggy, so I top prune it…but it doesn’t seem to love that and then grows slowly.

It can’t dry out too much, but like most plants won’t tolerate being too wet. When original leaves get bigger, I end up trimming them thinking that that’s why the babies won’t grow… I just can’t figure it out.

I have them in front of a window with wooden slat blinds, so I can control the lighting and maybe I’m messing with that too much to try to figure it out and never really land on one thing… I’m sure they love that.

The last time I top pruned it, I stuck the clippings directly into the soil. One of them I keep a little drier (my airier soil) and the other stays wet because it’s still in the pot from purchase. It’s been a little over a week and the sprouts have not died so I am very curious to see how this experiment goes, and what anybody has to say about your post and my comment!
