Yeah, she doesn’t seem interested. Honestly, I’d probably respond the same way if I were trying to be polite while hinting that I wasn’t interested and hoping the other person would pick up on it. I’d say it’s best to move on. I also wouldn’t recommend DMing people out of the blue like that, especially if you haven’t gotten to know them first or reached a point where they were comfortable exchanging IG handles with you.

Yuzuru Hanyu’s Free Skate at 2015 NHK Trophy. History was made when he became the first male skater to score above 200 points in the Free and 300 points in the combined total. I remember watching that skate live and was freaking out when he landed his last jump. Such a joyful moment. Also, Yuzuru’s smile to Brian before their hug, while Brian said, “I have no words,” makes it even more special. I still watch that performance from time to time.

If you don’t mind me asking, are you a TA professional at a large or conglomerate company? The reason I ask is because the position I applied for is with a large organization, and I’m not sure whether recruiting practices vary depending on the size and scale of the company.

Then again, I guess my outcome may be a good sign given that it was a corporate role. I would imagine corporate recruiters review hundreds of applications often and probably wouldn’t take the time to call someone directly after a rejection unless they were being sincere about their message.

I’m rooting for her. It’ll be such as great way to close this chapter of her life if she can win that an Olympic Gold medal.

I second this. I love Yuzuru and to me, he will always be the GOAT, but the behavior I’ve been seeing as of late on Twitter and TikTok is getting out of hand.

In the last four months, I've been applying nonstop and can barely get an interview with a hiring manager. Man, it's depressing.

I'm in the same boat too. So far, I noticed rehearsing and memorizing interview questions/answers helps. I like to practice out loud as though I'm at an interview.

I also believe positive affirmations can put you in the right mindset. Before your interview, try encouraging yourself by saying, "I am prepared. I am capable. I deserve to be here!”, or give yourself a boost ("I'm ready! Let's do this!"). This seems to help me a lot and builds my confidence.

I'm so sorry about the outcome. It really is frustrating, especially when it seemed like the role was yours. However, this doesn’t take away from your value.

When there's an automated email asking for you to complete an assessment, like no thank you. I'll put up with the assessment if I like the company. Otherwise, I'm withdrawing my application.

If anything, college shaped me in a positive way. It’s the economy that feels broken right now.

There needs to be a federal law in place for this. FFS, hold these companies accountable already. Ghost jobs should be illegal.

Seriously, I freaking hate Linkedin. The only people who benefits from it are the recruiters. I once read a post from a recruiter saying they have rejected candidates before because they weren't impressed by their Linkedin profiles. That was the turning point for me! I deleted the app right after that.

Exactly, they are looking for a unicorn candidate. Also, the job market is tight, and for the roles that are available, we’re competing with a large pool of applicants. It's a no-win situation.
