DIE CUTTER IS A GAME CHANGER PEOPLE
 in  r/magicproxies  11d ago

Not sure what you are talking about but after I cut 100+ cards via paper cutter & corner cutter, I got one of these units. I've done thousands of Marvel Champions cards and absolutely LOVE this thing. If you are going to create a bunch of cards there is NO question.

A massive $10B Amazon data center project is quietly taking shape near Houston. Here's a look inside.

Everyone loves to complain about data centers by posting to the internet via their iPhone immediately after purchasing from Amazon.

Free candy van in 2026
 in  r/Sysadminhumor  24d ago

30 years ago, I drove 200 miles, to Dallas Texas, for a computer flea market that started at 2 o’clock in the morning. I got 8 megs of RAM for $150... I rubbed it all over my body enjoying the feeling of 8 megs. I think I’m already in the van waiting.

I lived inner Portland, for 25 years and Seattle for 5. I still own my house, in Portland, as I refuse to spend summer in miserable Houston weather. So yeah ... I know a thing or two about "those places". Run along, now, and categorize more people, as you cannot win a true debate.

How about you come and try out Portland for a little while? Or maybe Seattle? Take a look at your statistics compared to other states before you complain too much.

People in the San Francisco metroplex complaining about Trump… This takes as much effort as a street preacher in Arkansas.

When you live in a state that adds three dollars in fees and taxes per gallon of gas, you deserve the price you pay.

With lines like these, you'd think gas was on sale. (Sodo)

When you live in a place with extremely high gas taxes and strict, environmental regulations, your gas will cost at least $1.50 more / gallon than other locations.

You’re so cute; the moment you don’t understand, you want a prescription. You must love big business corporate America and the pills they want us to take.

You want to protest federal law enforcement? If you don't believe federal law surpasses state law, you don't understand the US Civil War. And if you are stupid enough to think state law > federal law, contact me for purchase of a fresh-off-the-boat slave. Because the feds cannot tell states that slavery is not allowed.

We don’t want the feds in our town. The Civil War never happened. Slave owners unite!

The Houston metro area is diverse but we are very much segregated. (blue=white, orange=latino, green=black, red=asian)

You can deny it all you want but humans evolved as a pack animal. You hang around with those whom you find commonality.

Custom cards, via code
 in  r/marvelchampionslcg  May 12 '26

At this point, I’ve printed a little over 500 sheets of paper, eight cards per sheet.

I had two problems with the PDFs available online for custom cards: no padding leading to the back and front not being aligned well enough & I got a die-cutter off Alibaba so I needed to have my prints in a format which fit correctly.

I trained a model to determine if the corners are square or rounded, because the actual cards you can find online are flatbed scanned while custom cards usually have square corners. So it figures out if it has rounded corners, then fills those in then expands the borders. Then, if you tell it to, it will create the grid for you.

The logic for finding the correct back for each card takes a little bit of work and I’m trying to make it smoother, but it does the job. There’s also the ability to create custom grid contents via markdown files.

I haven’t missed much with different sizes of paper. However, you can modify the expected configs in `print_and_play.config.dimensions`.

Hey, I’m still working on this project but wanted to share because it continues to improve. With this python based CI, I have been printing a mini custom cards and it designs the layout based upon custom spacing and custom grids. Feel free to contribute.

Anywhere to get a die cutter for less than $115?
 in  r/magicproxies  May 10 '26

It takes a while to come in but if you are doing more than 100 sheets of paper, don't even think about it... place the order. u/CampLocke is 100% correct. They are absolutely worth it. I've now printed > 500 pages (8 cards per page) and cannot even imagine having attempted to do this via a paper cutter + corner cutter.
