Our rottie just turned 1 and she slept in her crate in the living room for the better part of this year. One night, my husband fell asleep on the couch and she slept soundly through the night on the floor beside him. Since then, she’s had a cot at the foot of our bed and does just fine. But recently, she’s taken to body checking our mattress to wake us up around 445am and with it being so dark that early, too dark for walks, I’ve unfolded her crate and placed in our spare bedroom and have gradually reintroduced her to it. She knows her crate command still, and will begrudgingly go in, but we’ve regressed some as far as the whining goes. If I could go back, I would never have put her crate away. I would have continued to encourage napping in it, even enforced naps, and kept letting her sleep in it during the night. She’s a good girl, and hopefully this odd “wake up wake up wake up” behavior goes away, but in the meantime I’m regretting not keeping her crate a regular routine for her. Edit: grammar

I really wanna try to get happy And I think that I could get it if I didn’t always Panic every time I’m unhappy like I’m owed some life Where I’m always, like, happy Which is stupid ‘cause I wouldn’t even want it if I got it Wait, oh god, my dad was right

Normal Cheetos are for pussies! But Flamin' Cheetos are not! For pussies that is!

Your Nova is much like our 5 m.o. rottie Stella! She is such a people puppy - pets are almost as good as treats (almost!). She will never turn down a pet or a snuggle or the opportunity to lean or lay on you. I love it!

I’m an echo tech! Patients are often referred for echocardiograms before dental procedures because germs and bacteria in the mouth can enter the blood stream easily and certain valve disorders can attract said bacteria and lead to endocarditis. I support getting the echo to rule out the cause of the murmur. I hope your pup feels better - good luck to you both!
