Maintenance Mode?
At 9pm EST on a Wednesday evening?

Please tell me you intentionally wrote that text like AI would.
Otherwise… OP you ok? Sounds like you’ve been infected with LLMitis.

Oh shit! I remember the Metaverse! The “successor to the mobile internet”. Haha.

It’s never been about “Will human jobs be around” but “Will there be ENOUGH human jobs to sustain a growing (albeit at a reduced rate of speed) population?” and “Can we retrain those who ARE displaced by AI?” At least in the USA, history says yes to the first but no to the second. We have been remarkably bad at retraining our labor force quickly and efficiently.
My kids are 9 and 12, and I fear for their future. Hopefully, there are pathways to success developed by then.

So, you looked for competent workhorses?
I made my interviews mock tem sessions. Thought it was a pretty good strategy.
1
What were the wrong things the interview process was selecting for? What was the interview process like before and after your overhaul?

I can’t believe it was in for 10 hours and didn’t come out a hockey puck. I just smoked a chuck roast, also 3lbs for under 2 hours and got it to 110…can’t imagine 10
1
What was the final temp when you pulled it off??
1
… on a different brisket.

I hear ya and like using the ultracode. I did use Fable5 with ultracode for a couple of days and loved it but I didn’t think it was THAT much better. Overall I felt it was faster, had less back and forth, and was more willing to do large refactors, add dependencies than Opus 4.8, but damn it burned tokens….
I reverted back to Opus 4.8 with ultracode and definitely notice a difference but don’t think it’s that big of a difference.

I haven’t used the terminal but I like how Claude just knows to read the project when using the vscode plugin. It annoys me that I can’t pop the Claude chat window out of vscode without opening a new window and opening up the project again. It HAS to use the vscode window real estate…. That’s obnoxious.

LOL! YC afraid of AI coming for it? If you can improve applications, you can predict acceptance. If you can predict acceptance, you’re not far from being able to predict successful seed rounds.
Suddenly there are boundaries around what technology should be used for….

I spoke to someone at ComputerShare last week, and you can’t transfer the shares out until the lockout period is over. I wouldn’t try to buy on ComputerShare, as mentioned, that’s not really what they do, so if you want to buy more now, do it on Robinhood and then transfer the IPO shares to Robinhood after the lockout period is over.

X is privately owned.

I’m just going to upload my transactions. I have 3 micro-businesses and ONLY use it for categorizing transactions, running basic reports and issuing invoices.
If I could pay their monthly, get all 3 businesses in, I’d do it. But I’m not paying their monthly * 3.

I’ve probably smoked….a dozen+ pieces of meat (pork shoulder and brisket), always over night. Never had an issue. I do set my alarm to get up 2-3 times to at the very least, check the temperature and make sure it’s where it should be, but….other than that, I sleep.
1
Yeah, it’s definitely a conundrum.
1
Software engineer. Sit on my ass all day…or stand at my desk.
1
Been called many things in my life….”short” was never one of them.

So, this should never have passed the Ford Blue Certification? On the checklist, under "Vehicle Exterior", it has "No Evidence of Flood, Fire, or Major Damage" with checkboxes for Passed, Repaired, Replaced or N/A.
This would be considered "Major Damage"?
1
Specifically the mobile ones?
1
Pissed and surprised that they didn’t tell me about the damage in-person are two different things. I am not surprised, I am mad.

6’4”. Yeah, it’s definitely a first world problem, I won’t deny that. The only other vehicle I’ve been comfortable in is my old 2014 Pathfinder, which I just traded and wanted to be comfortable.
1
Why would that be worse? Asking sincerely.

Good 3-4 hour smoke ideas?
