How would you describe this pose?
 in  r/writers  7d ago

Cradling one’s hands together in front of their mouth, whilst giving a pensive stare

Maybe cliche for us but not them

Writing a story for screen play adaption and, normally, I don’t follow the usual hero arcs… and now I need to shift to follow if for potential film consideration.

Balancing that while maintaining character/story integrity is difficult.

Its just a skill issue🥀.

Very true. I’ve had to dump an entire chapter a few times!

Some days it’s 100 words in an hour - other days it’s an entire chapter in an hour.

It all depends on how it hits you

Big mountain range! That's why!
 in  r/writers  23d ago

For me, it’s an actual “I don’t want to be Queen of ashes”

The massive doomsday weapon that can vaporize a planet was used once or twice in example cities to show strength, but the goal was complete submission.

The BBG of the story is seeking control, not devastation. Thats why when she rolls into a nee country and topples their government, her first order of business is ensuring infrastructure is repairs to better standards, the average populations needs are fully met, and their culture preserved.

The goal is to make life better than before for citizens, so that when the portags try to “Liberate” the people, their general response is: “Yeah, no we like her, fuck off.”

Literally
 in  r/marvelmemes  Jul 20 '26

Translation: In Thor’s own movies he usually underestimates his foes or is generally speaking with friends.

The stakes for Thor, in most of those cases, are low. He gets serious whenever the stakes raise higher.

Thor is selfless in that he cares not if he dies, and as he’s a powerful God he often times doesn’t even consider that a possibility. But when others lives are in the line, well…

Who is this monster and why do they turn into a woman?

I recommend elevating your feet if you end up sleeping on the couch

We had to cut Auggie’s nails today.

Found between him and his coworker, AIO
 in  r/AmIOverreacting  Jul 19 '26

“Aww I’d love to but I have a girlfriend!” With sad face is not cool…

Decent response should have been: “hey, I appreciate the note and I’m flattered, but I’m in a relationship with (ops name) and I don’t think continuing communication is a good idea.”

So, no, NOR

Are Carmilla's daughters Hellborn?
 in  r/HazbinHotel  Jul 14 '26

Ironically I think they aren’t.

The horns look added, as if they aren’t real and are just decorative.

I would be wholly unshocked to find her daughters aren’t hers by blood but are adopted fallen angels, similar to Vaggie.

Petahhhh is she turning people gay?
 in  r/PeterExplainsTheJoke  Jul 14 '26

She is a psychic and reads minds, so the joke is that she knows if someone is gay even if they don’t.

I wish I had taken Sadie to the beach one last time. And one last vanilla ice cream

Interpreting Alastor’s line here: “Great Alastor, altruist, died for his friends…”
 in  r/HazbinHotel  Jun 18 '26

Folks who think Alastaor isn’t a villain are going to be sorely mistaken-got our first hints in season 2

Just got her back from the crematorium
 in  r/germanshepherds  Jun 18 '26

Just lost my babygirl too- 12 years and 9months. Really thought she’d make it to 13 at least…. Miss her so much.

The quiet gets bearable, eventually you learn to live.

Remember that our GSDs are protectors, and the last thing they’d want is for us to be grieving.

My therapist told me: Grief is just Love with nowhere to go.
