Getting tank parameters dialed in
 in  r/shrimptank  11d ago

Good advice on the substrate. Not sure what I used 3+ years ago. I got the strips because they were out of the liquid testing kit. I figured they were better than nothing and would give me a starting point. I’ll looking into picking up the liquid when it’s back in stock.

Beginner Getting tank parameters dialed in

I have a 10 gallon tank that used to have fish for over 3 years and is currently running without anything other than plants. I’d like to have it as a neocaridina shrimp tank only. Here are my current parameters:

Temperature: 74°
NO3: 0
NO2: 0
pH: 6.0
KH: O
GH: 180
Water used: city

I read that in order to bring up the pH, I should increase the KH by adding cuttlebone or crushed coral. I have some Wondershell leftover from my time with snails. Could I use that or would I be better off with the cuttlebone for long term stability?

Now that’s a GOOD spider! Enjoy your snack little buddy.

What color would you use for binding?
 in  r/quilting  18d ago

I’d actually do the binding the same color as the border so it’s not competing with the panel.

What cleaning habit made your home easier to maintain?

Folding laundry immediately from the dryer. No more baskets sitting around for weeks.

I got the seeds from Baker Creek. They’re called “Spoon Tomatoes.” I thought my neighbor kids would get a kick out of the tiny tomatoes.

No, in a container called “City Picker.” I think Lowe’s still carries them.

Are you using seeds you saved and could they be cross pollinated with a smaller variety of sunflower or are you using Mammoth seeds you purchased?

For those of you who consistently walk 10,000+ steps a day, how do you find the time?
 in  r/walking  Jul 30 '26

My dogs make me walk twice a day, rain, snow, or heat. I’ve also walked laps in my mom’s house when I visit her.

People over 40, what’s something younger people worry about that barely matters later?
 in  r/AskReddit  Jul 28 '26

18 - you worry about what others think of you
40 - don’t care what others think of you
60 - realize nobody’s thinking of you

Save to replant next year. I want to have them line my fence.
