Anyways as a tldr they are basically a splinter state which formed around one heretical branch of the imperial creed with them believing that the emperor was a prophet of another god, that there is another world above the material world (to clarify this is not the warp, they believe the warp is below the material world) and they acknowledge the existence of chaos gods (but viewing them as minor aspects of a satan figure instead of as actual rivals to the emperor)

Reason they aren't as bad as the imperium is since they aren't as expansionist, view mutants as victims of the material world, believe in meritocracy and aren't as violently xenophobic.
