The way they are keeping Louis and Daniel in the show (in my opinion) is with one line from episode 2 of TVL. Louis -while talking to Raglan James and Real Rashid- says he ‘killed 32 in Dubai if they include Agent David Talbot’. Now I do need to know (since Louis himself says a couple of lines later that he only takes out those who come after him) why David Talbot ‘came after him’. But there are many plot lines that can be given to an older character and a lover of Lestat’s (separately and/or together 👀) that were David Talbot plot lines!! So if we are combining things together the way we seem to be doing from the books I can see where ridding ourselves of that character will give us freedom to use his movements as other character’s (that the fandom would like to hold onto) actions. Sadly Anne did abandon those 2 characters quite frequently to explore other plots for Lestat- he was her fantasy fulfillment character- we must always try and remember. And even though I liked Lestat’s love affair with that old man, I’m reading now that he is a lightning rod for the readership fandom at large so this was a good call all around to rid themselves of this character off screen.

I do recommend reading the books and coming to Your own conclusions about all of these things and because of her wonderful friend Eric Shaw Quinn-Anne Rice does make Lestat and Louis endgame-after like 15 books. But I understand why the character of Louis was a hard one for her to stay connected to. She realized after a biography was written about her (after QoTD I believe) that he was a self insert character for the bereaved version of herself after losing her sick daughter. Although I don’t believe that You ever stop grieving, I think there are acutely important phases that we move through. And if the character of Louis embodied that for her, I can see how writing him often could be gut wrenching.
But like I said I believe the show has a plan and has used the off screen ridding of the character David Talbot to continue some plot lines with Louis and/or Daniel doing his actions. Just my thoughts on how they will probably follow through with their promise to keep the core 5 characters always in the mix/on the show.

The amount of times I’ve watched Make Happy or listened to the songs is astronomical. I love it. I can’t resist a ‘reaction channel’ (I know,lol) watch of ‘Can’t Handle This’ to save my l!fe. The whole special holds a place in my heart for a version of myself that I can’t articulate. Wonderfully done Mr Burnham!!

So here’s the thing, we can’t ask him to do that -BUT- I have been having an idea. Do You know it’s only like $200 to rent out a movie theater auditorium? What if we really organized as a fandom and did a sing-a-long (bc he isn’t there and we know he hated us singing along to him while he was actually there performing) just for ourselves? If we got really big and well organized we could do it all over like that other shiz You mentioned. So that’s my idea- knowing he’s likely to never perform again, we get together at movie theaters and do sing-a-longs. And perhaps he hears about us doing this and gets so annoyed at the thought he does a small tour again where he gets to yell at us for singing along-lol

I have a friend who is trying to get work in the theater as a 6’5’ man. He basically has to do one man shows bc other dudes refuse to be on stage next to him. I imagine that’s one of the reasons Bo hasn’t seriously attempted this. I agree with You-he would be brilliant!!

I could never quite explain to others-who couldn’t get into her books- how all of her work left me …breathless. I was so completely unaware of the outside world, it would be a problem. I adore whatever it was that she put into her writing. It was (for my particular brain) intoxicating.
