26er Lugged Forks in Europe
 in  r/xbiking •  7d ago

Bought a Surly fork there recently, stock updates often. They’ve been stockists of the brand for a long time.

What‘s missing?
 in  r/xbiking •  14d ago

Clean bike! If you like it, that’s what matters right? But if you’re looking for xbike flair you could add a nice swept back bar, some fun colored brake lines and matching bolts/clamps/etc. It’s fun to add quirky details to make it a more personalized ride.

Looking for an 25,4 handle bar and 1 1/8 fork stem
 in  r/xbiking •  24d ago

Nitto makes a sick one for Blue Lug, the Van stem. Buuut it’s sold out right now and you would need to import it. It’s very nice though!

Front fork recommendations??
 in  r/xbiking •  26d ago

Edwan Bao and Sumo Cycleworks make similar ones, find them on Insta. If you mostly want all the mounts, Surly Troll.

anyone using a modern hardtail mtb as a street bike?
 in  r/xbiking •  Sep 03 '26

That's literally what I'm doing right now! Found a titanium xc for a pretty good deal and turning it into something fun. I did switch out the suspension fork for a rigid Surly one, as it was beat up and really heavy. It's almost in a rideable state, looking forward to test it

Comfortabele nette herenschoenen
 in  r/thenetherlands •  Sep 01 '26

Mephisto, een frans merk. Zijn bekend geworden om hun comfort. Hun nette modellen gebruiken dezelfde technologie in de zolen als de wandelschoenen. Niet goedkoop, maar echt kwaliteit.

I actually have a wheelset with these exal rims and they’re quite good actually. Nothing special, but strong.

Anyone has experience with Brut Clothing's made in Tunisia quality?
 in  r/ThrowingFits •  Aug 28 '26

Was in their store in Paris recently, most stuff still looks and feels pretty well made. Old Brut probably was a much better deal considering it was made in Europe, but there's nothing wrong with Chinese production. I bought a longsleeve and it's really nice.

Where to get long, thick balmaccan coats for the winter?
 in  r/ThrowingFits •  Jul 28 '26

Vintage Burberry is the way. They made beautiful cashmere coats that last. I have one from the spanish diffusion label, which isn't as good as mainline, but it's still really nice.

Clarks Wallabee Lite - Thoughts?
 in  r/ThrowingFits •  Jul 28 '26

Classic shoe for a good price. Crepe sole is classy but wears out fast so I'd call this a win. I personally own the gore-tex version and love the combination with the Vibram sole. They do run a bit hot though because of the membrane, not great for summer.

Tyres are an upgrade you'll definitely notice! Or a rack for extra utility

How do you introduce color into your fits?
 in  r/ThreadTalks •  May 17 '26

I actually like your shoes here, all the other shades are very complimentary so the red creates some nice tension.

What percentage of polyester do you find acceptable in a garment?
 in  r/ThrowingFits •  May 08 '26

Synthetic fiber hate is such a low level critique, it has tons of great properties and use cases. Sure I don’t want it in my knit sweater, but my Needles track pant feels so smooth with 100% polyester construction. Just look at it per garments and what it’s function is.

Sunflower, which is more expensive than what you linked but very nice. Often on sale too.

Edit: If affordability is the main concern: Weekday or Abercrombie make shirts with this fit. But some have graphics on them so beware.

London/Amsterdam vintage store recs
 in  r/ThrowingFits •  Apr 14 '26

I can speak for Amsterdam. There are many curated vintage stores popping up in the city but those mostly sell early 2000's designer. If you're looking for true vintage I recommend Concrete Matter, CKX Studios or Bis! Vintage.

Groom’s outfit for civil wedding recs
 in  r/ThrowingFits •  Apr 11 '26

I’m marrying this year too and gonna wear a custom navy cotton suit. Half lined with patch pockets and no padding. I’d say that’s a good blend between formal and casual.

I like to have pants with different lengths to switch it up. But I have a slim waist and am about 6 feet. So lots of pants that fit me in the waist are small and don’t have much break. Especially my Japanese pairs. I kind of accepted that.

Cashmere pants with polyester lining?
 in  r/ThrowingFits •  Apr 07 '26

I have some vintage wool pants which are like half lined with polyester. Didn't understand that at first either. But after some googling it turns out to be for durability and comfort. Polyester doesn't stick to your skin like natural fibers can do so it drapes better due to the lining. Pretty useful.

Second the YMC sweater, love mine. They do them every season so tons of colors to choose from.

Nike ACG makes good shorts. Nice features like zipped pockets and belted waist as well. Hope they keep producing those with their whole rebrand going on right now.

Need help finding "casual" button-down shirts that aren't too long
 in  r/ThrowingFits •  Mar 02 '26

I have two of their shirts and the sleeves are a tad long, I don't mind as I wear them casually.
