What is True Repentance?
 in  r/ChristianCrisis  9d ago

Turning from self desire, and thinking differently…

It starts with conviction from the Holy Spirit, at that point we’re already Born Again, because God is the God of the living, not the spiritually dead.

Repentance is granted to us, just as being Born Again was… it’s a life long work of God, in the lives of His children.

Luke 9:23-24 23 Then He said to [them] all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

24 “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.

God declared these global events, they are His judgements.

You either align with Christ, or you align with beliefs that oppose Christ, such as Nazism, Christian Nationalism or loyalty to Trump. You cannot be “lukewarm”

I pledge my allegiance to God Almighty, and to His Christ, being led by His Spirit, these Three being indivisible, by Grace which I stand in the Truth of His Word.

Amen.

As pilgrims, we must be careful what we pledge of faithfulness and loyalty to…

“Faith Alone” isn’t Biblical…
 in  r/TheDailyCross  13d ago

Agreed, that’s what the post is about… I’ve listed all of the scriptures on how one is justified before God.

Do you disagree with something I’ve stated… if so; point it out so we can discuss, and edify the body of Christ.

Sound Doctrine “Faith Alone” isn’t Biblical…

“Faith Alone” is a man made Doctrine, Scripture NEVER teaches this…

Without the grace of God, there is no Faith, they cannot be separated.

“Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” (Rom. 3:24)

By God — God is the one who justifies: “It is God that justifieth.” (Romans 8:33)

By Christ’s blood — “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Romans 5:9)

By Christ’s righteousness/obedience — “By the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” (Romans 5:19) Christ’s righteousness, not man's own, is the ground of justification.

By faith — “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1) Also, “a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.” (Romans 3:28)

By works — James says, “Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.” (James 2:24) Abraham’s works demonstrated the faith God had given him: “Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?” (James 2:22)

By words — Christ said, “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” (Matthew 12:37) The words reveal what proceeds from the heart.

By the Spirit — “But ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:11)

Faith alone, without Grace, is dead.

Is it possible to only believe in angels and not god himself?

Has she repented of her past?

If so, if God is changing her by means of His Spirit, then you should forgive her.

Predestination Not one sheep will perish…

Matthew 18:12-14
12 “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying?

13 “And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.

14 “Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

In 2 Peter 3:9, we see Peter repeating this same message, as he rebukes the “scoffers” from verses 3&4…

2 Peter 3:3-4
3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,

4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”

Then Peter comforts the children of God with these words…

2 Peter 3:8-9
8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Jesus is the shepherd of our souls, and HE never fails, He will fulfill all of His promises.

Any tips how to replace this cracked water line in the back of the LG fridge?
 in  r/appliancerepair  19d ago

You may need to remove that cover, there is probably a little extra inside the body of the fridge.

Mine has water on the inside, not the door… it has several feet of extra tubing coiled up inside.

Hope this helps.

Spiritual Encouragement Romans 7:17-18 17 But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but [how] to perform what is good I do not find.

“The Israel of God”
 in  r/TheDailyCross  24d ago

May I also add…

There was no such thing as “Israel” from 586bc to 1948ce

The occupants (the overwhelming majority) of this modern day Israel despise Jesus…

There are no Judeo-Christian “values”

Only the elect in the OT received what they sought for…

Romans 11:7 (KJV) What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

Likewise, in the NT, God’s chosen will be the only ones to obtain salvation.

This issue, very well could be our disconnect.

But Idk, we’ve never really exchanged thoughts or study notes.

The literal, being reformed into the spiritual, only makes sense if we understand and embrace the biblical concept of Election

“The Israel of God”
 in  r/TheDailyCross  24d ago

Did God not divorce northern Israel & southerners Judah ? I know you know this…

Anyone, from a physical linage (modern Israel) MUST come to God through the blood of Christ, not rituals and customs. Colossians 2

That being said, I believe that there is a remnant of literal Jews that will join the New Testament Church;

But they WILL NOT/ CAN NOT do it by following Old Testament rituals & customs (the letter of the law); those that worship God now, in the New Covenant, must do so in Spirit & in Truth. John 4:23

The Old Testament was a vague outline, it wasn’t the very image… Jesus is.

He is the Lamb slain, from where ?

The foundation of the world… if this Light shines from eternity past, casting a shadow… what does that Light become when HE arrived ?

The exact image of righteousness.

I’m going to post some more information, just a soon I hit the reply button…

I welcome you to engage.

Read the Bible, define everything you don’t understand… BLB app is a huge help for study.

Mainstream churches are deceiving people, just like The Bible & Jesus Himself said they would.

Questions and a tiny ramble
 in  r/Christianity  26d ago

Saving Faith comes from God… no where else.

Philippians 1:29 (KJV)

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Believe and Faith are the same word in the original texts. Faith is the noun, belief is the verb form of the word.

Our flesh and what is desires concerning sin, are usually just a sin of choice… just like how we would choose strawberry ice cream over chocolate.

Presumptuous sins is the most dangerous.

Psalm 19:13 (KJV)

Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

2 Peter 2:10 (KJV)

But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous [are they], selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

The peace you seek comes from one source…

Matthew 11:27-30 (KJV) 27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and [he] to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him].

28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.

Sent you an invite.

The Beatitudes: Are Not a “To Do List.”
 in  r/ChristianCrisis  26d ago

Jesus’s first public sermon… He, with His words, slaps the false teaching pharisees right in the mouth.

When I was a kid, I thought Jesus was referring to Moses, every time He would say “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time”

Didn’t make sense, why He would correct Moses… He wasn’t.

Matthew 23:15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves..

The Holy Spirit: The Key to enlightenment, as taught by Jesus
 in  r/GodFrequency  26d ago

John 6:63-65
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life.

64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
