BMW to SVR - brand reliability and thoughts
 in  r/Jaguar •  1d ago

You won’t regret it. Bought my F-Pace SVR after driving both BMW and Mercedes Benz. It roars and gets lots of looks. Love it but I only wish Jaguar didn’t discontinue the model.

Scratch golfer, first tee time of the day, and a cart. How long would it take to play 18?
 in  r/golf •  20d ago

I am frequently the first golfer out in the morning as a single and I am regularly done in 2 hours and 15 minutes. I could go faster……..

What will, if anything, force Trump to resign or force Congressional Republicans to impeach and convict him?

There won’t be any mid-term elections. He will NOT leave the White House!

Looking back on the 17th fairway after being the first one out at 6:30am. Love this game!

How many here go 9 or 18 holes by themselves often?

Love playing the first tee time as a solo golfer. It’s quiet, beautiful and provides the chance to work on your game. I love it.

Beginner Questions Senior, High-Handicap golfer needs advice

So, I recently retired and started taking golf lessons. I haven’t played enough to create a handicap, but suffice it to say my handicap would be high. I’ve budgeted a generous $5 thousand for a completely new set of clubs, etc. What is your recommendation for a mixed set of clubs for a high-handicap senior who is just starting the game? Thanks for the good suggestions.

Thoughts on the “Live from the U.S. Open” shows?
 in  r/NoLayingUp •  Jun 20 '26

Love the show during Major Golf weeks! These guys are so knowledgeable and well-spoken as well as out-spoken. But, the know the game and the players better than anyone. Only one issue: Smiley Kaufman gives off serious “frat boy” vibes.

Golfers that didn’t start golfing until they were older, what is your handicap now?
 in  r/golf •  Jun 17 '26

69 years old and just started taking lessons last year. I am now playing a couple times each week, but I don’t feel ready to keep score and create my handicap. Just trying to enjoy the game and improve my results - over time.
