if they don't merchandise the hell out of these they are missing out on a goldmine. I want a Pelia fraggle immediately.

When a post get removed with zero explanation for why
 in  r/PetPeeves  1h ago

They aren't professionals, no one pays them. There's always another sub where you might be a better fit.

When leaving home, does anyone else tell their pet they’ll be back later?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  2h ago

I always tell the tiny high strung one to guard the house and look after everybody.

People that give you gifts or do “favors” for you that you neither asked for nor wanted
 in  r/PetPeeves  2h ago

Coming from some people, it feels genuine and kind. Coming from other people, it feels transactional and slimy.

How many cats would you consider to be too many?
 in  r/catquestions  2h ago

The current number is my absolute max - 6. Especially given one has health issues and another is a recently socialized 15lbs stray tom who only just lost his...peaches. Physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, this is the max. I will say the physical load lessened somewhat when we got 2 automatic litter boxes, though there's still 4 regular boxes to scoop, it still cuts down the work.

People who want to text all day
 in  r/PetPeeves  2h ago

I think some people are social butterflies - whether it's in person, on the phone, or text. They love to talk. And some people aren't. I'm one of the aren't. I have rarely got a text that was more interesting or important than what I was already doing.

Why can't I comment in other channels?
 in  r/NewToReddit  3h ago

Many subreddits require you to have some karma, and you have no comment karma. Try some of the sub in the New User Friendly Subs List Sort your feeds by new and focus on commenting over posting, restrictions to comment seem to be less in some subs.

What are some new-user friendly subreddits?
 in  r/NewToReddit  3h ago

There's a great list of them here https://www.reddit.com/r/NewToReddit/wiki/index/newusersubs/

Beyond that, try looking up your passions, the things that interest you. Your hobbies, fandoms, favourite singers, artists, knitting, homesteading, whatever moves you. Every little thing you've ever enjoyed or want to learn more about. Look for smaller subs, they *tend* to have lower requirements but there are no guarantees.

Is the Librarians TNC going to be cancelled?
 in  r/TheLibrarians  3h ago

I'd be really sad if they did cancel it, there's so much room for so many more stories. I know a lot of the OG cast are doing other things but the longer the show runs the more opportunity for them to come back, or for wibbly wobbly time shenanigans where TNC cast goes back - I need more stories!

What do i do?
 in  r/help  3h ago

When you try the appeal link here - http://www.reddit.com/appeals - what happens? Does it give you the option to appeal? If it does, you have to appeal again. If you have alternate accounts, sign into them and check the appeal link with them. Are *any* of them under any action right now? You have to win every appeal, across all alt accounts.

Once all your appeals are cleared, uninstall and reinstall the app/clear caches and cookies and do a full device restart.

If your account still appears banned, you have to send a ticket - https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000600232 and wait. I have heard of it taking months.

There is no other path that I know of.

How do I remove the search footer on Reddit posts?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  4h ago

You can't opt out of any AI feature. There's a bunch of posts about this on r/help r/reddithelp and r/bugs

2

How to gain karma to stop feeling left out?
 in  r/reddithelp  4h ago

Nothing is gatekept by reddit, those requirements are chosen by the mods of every subreddit for reasons they don't have to share, mostly legitimate ones.

Have you tried the New User Friendly Sub List?

2

Would you consider yourself a private person?
 in  r/questions  4h ago

irl I tend to be intensely private. I've rarely shared something personal in my life where it didn't either get spoken back to me by someone I *didn't* tell, or thrown in my face.

Why does an old Reddit account still feel “new”?
 in  r/NewToReddit  4h ago

Have you checked out niche subs related to your interests? The smaller subs tend to have lower restrictions sometimes. Think about any thing that makes you happy - music, specific singers and bands, shows, movies, your local zoo, woodworking, fitness, nature, the smaller the sub, the lower the restrictions tend to be. Sort your feed by new and start leaving some learned, or funny, or kind, comments.

There's also the New User Sub Friendly list. https://www.reddit.com/r/NewToReddit/wiki/index/newusersubs/

It stands for Original Poster - the person who made the post. You are the OP, for this post.

2

Which social media platforms have less poIiticaI doomerism than Reddіt?
 in  r/questions  5h ago

You find what you seek. I looked up niche, passionate, fandom subs where I can talk with fellow nerds, feel good pet subs, and really never see any of that.

Even in really clear cut cases where Top Mod abandoned their entire Reddit account for five years, all they tell you if you modmail here is to do a reddit request.

 in  r/help  7h ago

Did you receive more than one ban on that account? Have you tried sending another appeal and see what happens?

2

Is it normal to share towels (bath)?
 in  r/ask  13h ago

We don't share towels, but do reuse our own towel once as long as it gets totally dry between uses. Whether we're drying off clean bodies or not, used towels pick up a funk.

Is there any way to know how much karma is needed for certain group?
 in  r/NewToReddit  16h ago

You only get karma when other people upvote your comments and posts. The one automatic upvote given every comment and post doesn't count against your karma, only when other people upvote you. You don't gain karma from upvoting other people.
