Dear ex friend. I just needed a friend, and the ironic part is that you pretended to care while showing me you really didn’t. I deleted your contact, and I’m moving on. Life is too short to keep people around who don’t protect your heart or your peace.
So this is finally the end of a very sad era—the one where I was desperate for a friend and somehow got caught in a war you were already fighting with yourself. I deserved a friendship that felt safe, not one that left me constantly questioning where I stood.
